"Traditional hotel room. It was easy to find, clean and the staff was pleasant. Decent continental breakfast. It worked out well after a late night flight and an early morning departure the next day. I’d stay there again."
"Check in good, room and amenities spacious and clean. Construction going on, elevator a mess and felt like it was going to fall apart, no flooring and walls being replaced in elevator. Once they get all construction done will likely be much nicer hotel. Overall decent stay."
"We were booked for 6 nights. We arrived later than check-in, got our room and the keys didn’t work => easy fix? We got another set of keys, those didn’t work => still an easy fix => we got a new room. Check in was a little slow…slowwwww. But, I’m from NY/NJ, we are a little faster paced, so maybe I was just tired and a little impatient.
The staff were nice enough.
It was 2 bedroom apartment, each bedroom had a bathroom. Open floor plan with dining table, living area, kitchenette, plates+, and the hotplate was a great touch - the balcony was nice as well. We saved so much money by making breakfast every morning.
The area was clean enough. Smelled decent. The carpet could do with a little replacing - laminate flooring maybe?
My kids loved the pool - the one snafu was the kid who vomited in the pool. Management moved quickly and cleared the pool - I believe they drained it - I didn’t ask. It’s also open til ten, there was an attendant, always, and you don’t need to surrender your keys to get a towel.
The grounds are well kept. There is shopping close by - outlet mall, food, gasoline.
We had a great time and would definitely Go back here if needed.
100% would recommend."
"This is a charming historic hotel with a lot of personality and a great location for walking everywhere. The room was clean and unusually spacious. The entire staff from front desk to the parking valet, were always courteous and accommodating. The only negative were the fogged cobwebby windows that are in need of serious cleaning which is hampered by the fixed interior storm window. We enjoyed a convenient Happy Hour at the attached bar which is a beautiful space. We totally enjoyed our 2 nights here."
"We usually stay at a different resort, but found a great deal at the Colonies. It's amazing for families. There is a small water park, playground, and arcade. Not far from the resort is an indoor bounce house. There are also many food options nearby. The buildings are secure and the grounds are well maintained. Check in was quick and easy. There's no hassle to buy anything, which was great. We would definitely consider staying here again."
