Room was pretty dirty. Visibly dirty furniture and floors. No remote in kids room for tv so couldnt use. A lot of broke Floor tiles. Very dirty A/C return vent. Good location within walking distance to pier park. Easy check in process.

Disappointed.

Condo at a nice property. Great location. Condo was not clean. Literally piles of sand in rooms. Rugs and furniture visibly stained and dirty. Sand everywhere. Not sure was even cleaned. We used 2 vacuums in the unit but neither worked. View was great, but would look elsewhere in future.

Best location!

We love Calypso. This exact room wasn’t my favorite. I WILL say though- I reached out to ECD and complained about our awful pans, toaster (that almost set our condo on fire), and coffee maker. Within a few hours, someone brought over new pans, a new keurig, fixed the garbage disposal, and a new toaster. There were still a few other minor issues, but overall, the stay was okay. We love Calypso and the location!

The location was absolute perfection. The condo itself would get 5 stars if it weren't for the cleanliness issue and updates necessary. The double toaster was broken, mold on ice dispenser tray,bathroom ventilation,and rubber plug for bathtub. Broken floor tiles stubborn sliding glass on bedroom exit to balcony and shade in bunk room thay wouldnt close if openwe . The couch cushions were horribly stained and the dryer needs a good cleaning as it took 2 cycles to dry anything. We would stay there again in this place but it would be wonderful if the owner vould come and persoanlly see to upkeep on this until to make it great again. Also update the photos which are olopened. Great location

We are repeat customers of Calypso. It is conveniently located next to Pier Park and with children we visit there often. The condo was located on the 9th floor so perfect in elevation to see the ocean but still low enough to not have to wait on elevators. The floors in the condo didn’t appear to be cleaned as I would have expected when we arrived. The vacuums in the laundry room need to be replaced, I tried vacuuming but it wasn’t picking up anything. The master shower would get clogged up easily, we pulled a lot of hair and hair ties out of the drain (hair that was not ours).

Great Location

We absolutely loved the location of Calypso. It’s in walking distance of Pier Park. The condo was nice but there are definitely some improvements that need to be done. The master bathroom shower curtain was two liners held together with four rings. It was flimsy and falling apart. The tub stopper also had black mold. Not ideal when you had three kids that would have liked to take baths instead of showers. The dishwasher held water the entire time. It would run but the water would never drain out of it. There was also no oven mitts to be found in the kitchen. We cooked a few times while staying here and had to improvise. The tile in the hallway was also cracked and you could literally hear it cracking each time you walked over it. The patio furniture could use an upgrade too. A table out there would have been nice. Overall we really did enjoy our stay. The majority of stuff I mentioned is cosmetic and I hope gets fixed in the future.

Basic needs were met

I have been staying in various condos at PCB for about 30 years and this unit needed the most work out of any I have stayed in. It met our basic needs and we enjoyed our vacation, but we would not rent this one again. The good: Great location near Pier Park, came with 2 free beach chairs. The bad: The condo unit itself needs a lot of work and updates. The floor tiles are cracked, the living room furniture is filthy, the wood furniture throughout is beat up and peeling. Mattress of hide away bed with yellow stains and blood stains. Gross. I was scared to check the other mattresses so I did not. Mold around vents in master bedroom. Overhead light of master did not work. Shower curtain in master bath ripping and falling apart. Poor water pressure in showers. Random artwork frame on the wall but nothing in the frame. Weird. Only a couple of glasses in the kitchen… mostly water goblets and wine glasses. No regular spoons, only serving spoons. The bedroom with the bunks is tiny and has no closet. It was not big enough for 2 teens to stay in, so one slept on the hide away bed, which was nasty. There was a tv in each room but no remote and no way to turn on the tv in the bunk room. Again, met basic needs but not worth the price paid compared to my other PCB experiences over the years.

Walmart close by for shopping and lots of close restaurants.Beach chairs were a plus, a must have when looking for a condo. Beds and couches were nice and comfortable, extra blankets available. Good selection of tv options to watch.Wifi worked great.The Calypso property is nice and well maintained, in a great area. Pools were great for my kids, nice warm water.Parking garage is easy to manage and we always found parking close to the walkway.Our only complaint is the overall condition of the condo. Broken tiles on the floor covered by cheap rugs thrown on top. They crunched when you walked on them. Poorly painted kitchen cabinets, dirty wherever people touch. Chipped dishes, but overall had a good selection of cookware. Bathrooms were ok, with again poorly painted vanities, they’re all chipped on the bottom and wood exposed. The only plug for the tub was covered in mold. Kitchen table and chairs could use replacing.No locks on master bedroom/bathroom door, lacked privacy.Washer and dryer did the job, but the dryer took 2 hours to dry a load.Balcony cement needed a good cleaning, very dirty.We’ve stayed in PCB before and you can tell this condo is owned/managed by a company and the bare minimum is maintained. The minimum cleaning is done. Other places we have stayed were privately owned and you can just tell a difference...they were overall in better shape and well maintained. If the floors were repaired, a deep cleaning done and maybe replace some furniture, we’d definitely stay here again.

Overall the complex was in a great location and a short walk to Pier Park and dinner locations. The complex was kept clean and was easy access to the beach. I loved the pool set up as you could turn your chairs around and view the beach without any fences in the way. The downside to the pool is you can't bring your drinks from the Tiki Hut into the pool. Especially when they have a Tiki Hut you would think you could at least sit by the pool with your feet in but they don't allow any drinks, alcohol or non alcoholic drinks anywhere near the pool.You also can't bring a float in the pool or allow your kids to play with a ball or frisbee. I understand rough housing or horseplaying but we called it the no fun pool. The unit was decorated nicely and had everything you would need for a week stay. It was very roomy, but could use a deep cleaning. The couch had a slight odor and multiple stains, along with the mattress for the pullout. The floor was sticky and we noticed our feet were black after walking barefoot right after arrival. The rug in the additional bedroom needs cleaned our thrown out. But overall, we were happy with the stay, and the price, and would definitely book it again depending on the cleanliness of the unit.

The only thing I would recommend is a deep clean in the kitchen and furniture upholstery needs cleaned as well. The bathrooms were very clean. There are a couple of areas with cracked tile near the kitchen which were covered up with rugs. I know this was mentioned in a previous review but it was not an issue for us. Of course there are always going to be cosmetic issues and I am sure it can be difficult to schedule someone to fix it with the condo rental schedule. None of those issues concerned us. The price was right and the location was perfect for our family. Check in and out process was easy. If we stay at Calypso again we would most likely rent this same condo. We were at the pool and beach most of the time we were here. And we had the pleasure of witnessing an air show poolside at the condo on our first day. Great trip was had by all of us!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. Trip review

Condo was clean and comfortable. We also got to do an early check in which as great- Would recommend to anyone- Location is awesome. Close to food , shopping and right beside a fishing pier
