"It’s a beautiful small property with a very cool design. Fairly rustic though and with a bit of a farmhouse feel and therefore maybe not for everyone. Managers and owners Giacomo and Paola are both fantastic. Giacomo in particular was a superstar, passionately speaking about the wines of the winery and the region, giving us great restaurant recommendations and really going above and beyond with a smile. "

" Unfortunately we didn’t get any check in instructions, so we had to call them to send a guy to check us in. He didn’t speak a word of english, so the information was rather lacking. He tried, via google translate to tell us he would clean the rooms.. but in the end we had to ask for it… that ment ‘making our beds’ but not cleaning the floor or taking out the trash or restocking toiletpaper, etc. Also the shower cabin was so small, thet it would only fit a child. "We enjoyed our short but very sweet night at Palazzo Privatera. We arrived on the heels of Cyclone Henry, so much of the town was shut down, but our host Alfio was extremely insightful and helpful. He showed us around this mideivel treasure, hosted a wonderful breakfast, and made our stay so comfortable! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the amazing property and town, but hope to return in the future to enjoy more of Mt Etna’s beauty and vineyards!"
