Incredible location and landlord

Place was perfect for a paris trip. Close to everything you need. Good walking distance from all the sites (if you want to get ur steps in) or a quick subway ride. Lively neighbourhood. Claude (the landlord) was very nice and gave us great recommendations for things to do and restaurants. Most importantly, the place was clean and tidy.

Perfect location. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Safe but in the middle of everything. Clean. Comfortable. Had everything we needed. The 4 flights up isn't a bad climb and it enables a quiet space even there's a lot happening on the street below. I couldn't ask for more! Merci beaucoup, Claude and Jonah!!!

The apartment was just as it appeared in pictures. It was quite comfortable and beautiful. It was perfectly located in the central neighborhood of Paris. A short walk to the metro. Many many restaurants within two blocks. There were coffee shops all around. It is a non-touristy area and reflects the true Parisian community and experience. It is located up five flights of steps without an elevator, so it would not be good for people who are not able to climb steps.

The location was perfect as I could walk everywhere I wanted to go – museums, monuments, both sides of the Seine – and the restaurants, boulangeries, patisseries, fruit stands, and grocery stores were all within 2 blocks. The previous reviews had mentioned the staircase, but potential renters need to know that not only is it 4 flights up, it’s very narrow & spiral with old wooden steps. I am an athlete, but I had to be extremely careful. Had I been staying longer, I’m not sure I would have chosen this apartment. The AC, air purifier, washer/dryer, and N’Espresso machine were big pluses!Claude was very helpful.

Comfortable Paris apartment in a great location

The property is very well-kept and equipped and in a great location. Shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. If you enjoy good food, creperies, fromageries, boulangeries are just a few minutes away. Claude is a considerate host. Our flight arrived early and he let us check in ahead of time. We had a great stay.

Comfort and Great Location

We loved our stay in Claude's apartment! It was exactly as described and had everything to make us feel at home and comfortable. The bed and shower were great. We had air conditioning and all needed amenities. Most of all, we LOVED the location - so close to shops, food and entertainment. Claude was very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

Amazing Paris Apartment!

If you’re looking for a lovely, clean and well appointed apartment in Paris- look no further. Claude was amazing to work with! We had no issues and the apartment was quiet, beautifully decorated and very comfortable for us. Laundry was a plus! Right around the corner is an amazing street with tons of cafes and shops. Highly recommend!!

Amazing stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at Claude’s flat in Paris. Our first host cancelled on us at the last minute, but in retrospect we are happy because we ended up here! The flat is very clean, modern and comfortable and the washer and dryer was an added bonus! We love the neighborhood-there is everything you need right outside your doorstep-cafes, groceries, shops etc. All of the sites are within an 20 minute walk or you are right next to the metro. Claude and his sons were so kind and we can’t say enough positive about this place. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Paris!

Beautiful apt. & great location!

This apt. is extremely clean & updated with new appliances and a washer & dryer. It is very spacious with a/c! The owner met us to check us in & go over the features of the apt. The best thing about this apt. is the LOCATION! Anything you may want is literally around the corner! The Metro, cheese shops, bakeries, chocolate shop & all kinds of restaurants & bars. Highly recommend & we would definately stay again!

Cute Apt and great location

The apartment was exactly as listed. The communication with Claude and Jonas was great. Location of the apartment was perfect. Easy access to the metro, bikes, shops and very walkable to all the other areas. It is an old building and does not have an elevator so if you are looking, pack accordingly as it is up 4 flights of stairs that are a bit narrow. It was no trouble for us as we only had carry-9n bags. Jonas was kind enough to carry one of them up at our arrival.

Lovely stay

The apartment was so comfortable and has great amenities; everything is considered, including nice lighting, fans, and kitchen utilities. Clean, spacious, and modern apartment. Bed was comfortable. The “marche” area downhill was fabulous (we recommended the restaurant Bianco.) Claude (the owner) and Lucas (his sons) were great hosts! Communication was clear. The steps were a bit tricky because they are a bit worn (a”winding” staircase.) But that’s not within Claude’s control. The steps were manageable though. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Claude!

Fantastic location and restful accommodations!

Claude met us at the location upon our early arrival- he was very accommodating about helping us get in early after our overnight flight. He helped us up the stairs with our bags and showed us where everything was and how things worked. He also had a great list of recommendations for us. The space itself is extremely clean and well kept, and plenty of space. Being on an higher floor meant it was very quiet, and we didn’t hear much from the other tenants. Our daughters (5 & 7) slept great on the pullout couch and there was plenty of space that we didn’t need to close/open the bed each day. The washer/dryer were so helpful to have so that we didn’t come home with so much dirty laundry. I’d recommend this property!

Quintessential Paris apartment in a historic building (yep--lots of stairs!), but with all the modern conveniences. The clothes dryer was an added bonus! The apartment is exactly as shown and described in the listing. Excellent, central location in a fantastic neighborhood with tons of bistros, restaurants, boulangeries, shops, supermarket, metro stations, etc. The neighborhood is extremely vibrant and lively, but the apartment was very quiet and serene. The apartment is close to many sights whether you walk or take the metro (we walked everywhere!). Claude was extremely hospitable and easy to communicate with. He met us at the apartment and gave a very helpful tour of the place. Thank you Claude! Highly recommend. Oh and for an amazing Thai meal, try Kapunka Vegan just around the corner! Delish!

Fabulous apartment, amazing location!

We had a great time in this apartment. Its location is amazing! The neighborhood is so vibrant. Many, many restaurants, patisseries, grocery stores within steps. So central to everything-25 minute walk to Notre Dame and probably less to the Louvre. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom extemely quiet. The sitting area is comfortable and spacious. Street noise in the sitting area is moderately intrusive, since this is a very lively neigborhood, but air conditioning is available so the windows do not need to be left open. We didn't need a/c during our stay so can't comment about the adequacy of a/c. Claude's communication was great, very prompt and helpful, and much appreciated (sorry Claude about my poor French skills!). Others have said this, but the unit is on the 4th floor so be prepared for lots of steps. Claude's son met us out front when we arrived, and helped to carry our bags upstairs-thanks for that! We would definitely try to stay here again when we return to Paris. Merci Claude!

This is a newly renovated apartment in a perfect location in Paris. It has been updated nicely with all the modern conveniences, including air conditioning, washer and dryer. The kitchen was well-stocked with basic cooking supplies and tools, including olive oil, salt, pepper, etc as well as coffee and tea. The bathroom had shampoo and body wash, a full sized hair dryer, Tide pods, and even a first aid kit! We stayed 4 nights, a family of four, with 2 kids (12yr and 14yr) and it was perfect for us! The beds are very comfortable! The kids had plenty of room on the pull out couch (it's the nicest one I've seen!). The apartment was impeccably clean and the wifi speed was great. It is located in a great neighborhood with MANY options for restaurants, bars, groceries, bakeries, etc within a few steps. We were able to access all the major sights via multiple easily accessible Metro stations. The Louvre is within walking distance. Claude was very responsive and so helpful! He has clearly thought about everything you will need to make your stay in Paris easy and comfortable! We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Paris!

Great Stay, Exactly as Pictured

My family of 3 had a great stay in Mid July 2023. The apartment was exactly as pictured in the listing. Bright and clean with everything we needed for our stay. Due to an airline issue, we arrived a day later than intended. Our host Claude was unable to meet us, but arranged for his son Jonas to let us in and orient us. Jonas, who spoke excellent English, met us right on time, helped us settle in and acquainted us with the neighborhood. The apartment is just a block from a useful metro station and very close to a pedestrian shopping street with restaurants and markets. Both Jonas and Claude were available throughout our stay to answer our questions. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and the AC and fans kept us comfortable despite temperatures in the high 80sF during our stay. The only note I'd put on this apartment is that it is an older building and the stairs leading up to the 4th floor were a bit tight/uneven. Perfectly fine for us but you'll want to be comfortable climbing stairs to ensure a wonderful stay here. Highly recommended!

First Trip to Paris

Claude was a wonderful host in every way. The communication was exceptional, and he was always willing and able to answer any questions in a professional and timely manner. Upon our arrival we were shown around the lovely apartment, and provided with recommendations for dining options close by. The bed was comfortable, although more firm than we are use to, or perfer. Shower water pressure and temperature were excellent. We did not utilize the kitchen much as we were only there for 3 days. However, the kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking. The only downside for some would be the narrow, winding stairscase with approx. 70 steps that could present challenges for some individuals. We were prepared for this being the only access to the apartment through reading other reviews. This is the only potential negative to this rental, especially because I do not fee l that the listing accurately depicts the stair access situation. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Claude for sharing this wonderful property!!

Excellent place and host!

My husband and I very much enjoyed our recent two week stay at Claude's apartment. The apartment is exactly as it appears and is described on the VRBO listing. The space is neat and comfortable. All of the appliances worked well and were easy to use. The location is superb. It's an easy walk to many of the major tourist sites. Rue Montorgueil with its many restaurants and shops is just around the corner. There are a few grocery stores close by as well, including a good Monoprix on Rue Reamur. If you enjoy walking, you probably won't even need to use taxis or the Metro, although Metro Lines 3 and 4 are very nearby. Although there is plenty of activity in this neighborhood, it was quiet at night which helped us to sleep well. Claude is an exceptional host, and I think the best part of this apartment. He was always available and responded to all of my questions quickly and efficiently. He met us on arrival exactly as we had arranged a week before we left for Paris. Claude was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. One caveat for visitors who may need or want an elevator, the building does not have one. To access the apartment, you will need to climb 73 steps. For us, it was not a problem, and it may have even offset all the calories from the delicious pastries and chocolates we ate!!
