AIR CONDITIONING 10/10
Visited during the peak summer heat, no problems.
Upon arrival, I inspected the room as I normally do. The room and shower were small, but that’s fairly typical for Paris, so that wasn’t an issue. What concerned me was the cleanliness of the bed. I found around 10 hairs on and underneath the comforter, which made me feel very confident that the sheets had not been changed before our arrival.
The bed itself consisted of two twin mattresses pushed together to make a queen, which seems to be common in Europe. Unfortunately, this wasn’t very comfortable for my partner and me, as we kept sinking into the gap between the mattresses. We also noticed that one mattress was fully wrapped with sheets while the other was not, which added to our concerns.
The hotel staff were very kind, welcoming, and spoke English well, making check-in and any questions easy.
The location was also a plus. There’s an excellent pho restaurant just down the street that I’d highly recommend, as well as a nearby grocery store where you can pick up delicious, inexpensive croissants, drinks, and other essentials.
The train/metro is just around the corner so Paris is very accessible. I would return!
