As with any metropole, Paris is a city composed of areas, called 'quartiers'. They each have their charm and personality. Matignon Terrace is located in the prestigious 8th Arrondissement, the heart of the capital. Our area is famous for its elegance, luxury and security. It includes within its borders the Elysées Palace, home of the country’s president (a two block walk from the apartment.) It is a short ten minute walk to Avenue Montaigne, or the Champs Elysées, which many consider as being the most beautiful avenue in the world.

The apartment is located on the Faubourg Saint Honoré, the home of the great fashion brands - the flagship stores of Hermès, Channel, Cartier, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Prada, Lanvin, Valentino, the Place Vendôme with its prestigious purveyors of jewellery.

Matignon Terrace, is just across the street from the luxurious, six star 'palace', the Bristol Hotel. It is a large, comfortable space, equipped with essential conveniences, at a fraction of the Bristol's stiff prices. Of course, nothing prevents a visitor from crossing the street to have a drink at their bar, or a meal at one of their celebrated, Michelin-rated restaurants.

The interior of Faubourg Terrace Modern was designed by Christian Biecher, one of France’s leading architects - and the talent he lavished on every detail is evident everywhere. The apartment was featured in World of Interiors, Marie Claire, Architectural Digest, and a host of other specialised publications.

On the ground floor above street level (in an elevator-equipped building), one is greeted by a salon with large windows opening onto a terrace. The exterior walls of the apartment are made of translucent glass. The concealed track-lighting is controlled by dimmers. A small efficiency kitchen contains a microwave oven, an induction stove top, a dishwasher. A Miele washing machine and dryer are provided for the guest’s laundry needs. The bathroom has a large shower booth, à l’italienne. The master bedroom offers a large, flat screen, high definition television with a fibre optic connection (which also means high-speed wifi connections) as well as a seating area, a modern, centralised stereo system, with built in ceiling speakers, brings sound to each room. A smaller bedroom offers modular twin beds, that can be joined together if needed. The apartment is furnished with several, comfortable, leather armchairs and a leather couch.
