Luxury stay with champagne in an Artist's Atelier In The 5th

Enjoy this newly renovated and decorated one-bedroom apartment in one of Paris’s most sought out neighborhoods. Parisian artist, Françoise Dutourleau, has decided to open her home to guests after having renovated it to incorporate some of the same details found in only the best hotels. Opposed to staying in a hotel, you’ll have room to spread out and cook in the gourmet kitchen.
The bathroom is new and spacious with both a shower and large tub as well as two sinks.
Some nice amenities include two flat screen TVs, a CD player, excellent wifi throughout the apartment, hairdryer, washer/dryer and, a Nespresso coffee maker. We have a good assortment of books on Paris in the apartment to help you plan your visit. An added feature is free cable with movies of your choice and a telephone with free calls to the United States. A nice bottle of champagne will be chilling in the refrigerator to welcome you to Paris.
The apartment is nestled on a quiet one-way street on the left bank. This is a real neighborhood with a generous assortment of restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, markets and bars within an easy strolling radius. The lively and colorful rue Mouffetard is about a ten minute walk where you can kick back and enjoy the bustle and join the locals dancing on Sunday mornings. Rue Mouffetard has buildings that date from the middle ages and it now hosts a colorful, daily fruit and vegetable market. The Jardin des Plantes, its museums and the Seine are both easily accessible by foot with the Jardin des Plantes being no more than a few minute walk. Also easily accessible is the Pantheon, Place Monge, Arène de Lutèce, the Sorbonne and Luxembourg Gardens.
If you love to eat, there are a plethora of choices. In addition to the traditional bistros, local restaurants and bars, the neighborhood offers some excellent ethnic choices. If you get tired of dining out, the apartment offers dishes, pots, pans and silver so as to enable you to prepare a lovely dinner in Françoise's beautifully equipped kitchen. (Keep in mind that there are five bakeries, not including rue Mouffetard, so you should always be able to find fresh bread and goodies daily.)
The apartment will be Françoise’s permanent residence in the near future. As a result, it is evident that much love went into the restoration with an attention to quality and aesthetics. Françoise’s goal is that those who choose her apartment will have a beautiful and welcoming place to stay. For example, you can count on a bottle of champagne to be waiting for you as well as some of her favorite wines!
Françoise will be meeting you at the apartment with keys to give you a tour of the apartment and to help answer any questions on getting settled into the neighborhood. More often than not I am only a phone call or email away.
NOTE: There is a small A/C unit. This unit in the apartment is common and popular in Paris and it will decrease the temperature. It is vented to a small courtyard off of the bedroom. Usually the temp decreases during the night and we recommend leaving the courtyard door open at night which brings a nice current of air through the apartment.
The old buildings are historic and so there is no central and no outside units. The building construction is solid with very thick stone walls that keep the heat out.

Great apartment, close to many metro stations and bus stops. Super comfy bed. Everything we could possibly want. Loui could not have been more easy to work with. Will definitely be staying here again if/when we return to Paris.
Well furnished apartment with bus stop a half block away all directions making public transit easy. Good butcher, bakery and grocery store only a few blocks short blocks away. Kitchen meets all needs but oven not working. Communications with host on regular basis was easy
We absolutely loved the neighborhood vibe! It was easy to get to the Metro for sightseeing and then nice to come back to a quieter area. The apartment was roomy and had all the amenities. We would stay there again!
Cute and convenient for our Paris stay. Nice hosts who met us at the apartment. Comfortable furnishings and perfect for two people. Easy to get to metro and taxis. Highly recommend
Perfect Stay in more Residential Paris Neighborhood!
I've been to Paris/France over a dozen times...this was a shorter stay and my regular apartment was not available. It is a perfect location to give you the residential feel away from crowds, but lots of great places to walk to and enjoy. The apartment is beautiful and well appointed...lovely art everywhere! I even saw a park I hadn't been to before - Jardin des Plantes which also includes a small zoo. Oh, made friends with the calico courtyard chat Coco... I would certainly come back again.,...just Perfect!
Being greeted by the host and being able to ask questions right up front was the best! The apartment, furnishings, and all the extra touches made this a warm and unique stay. The location was perfect for us and we were pleasantly surprised at all of the restaurants and things to do nearby as well as quick access to the buses and metro.
We enjoyed the apartment but there was no air conditioning as advertised on the listing. We probably wouldn’t have booked it if we’d known. So, if you’re counting on ac, don’t book this property. If you don’t need ac, it’s a great location and nice property!
This one’s a great place to stay well in Paris for six nights. The apartment is very large for two people and is very well appointed – has everything you need.
Loui and Francoise were fantastic, and their communication and assistance was greatly appreciated! We would definitely stay at this location again!
We had a wonderful time and were sad to leave. The hosts were wonderful! Everything was perfect. The king size bed was very comfortable and the accommodations were artistic and beautiful. We stayed 2 weeks and utilized metro/trains/buses or taxis depending on our energy level at the time. We loved the location and highly recommend staying here!
This charming ground floor apartment is so comfortable and well equipped, with thoughtful touches and a gracious garden entrance - there is even an official greeter, a sweet kitty that sits in the courtyard. Francoise, the owner and Loui, the manager, are so friendly and efficient, offering travel and restaurant advice. Since I (like Francoise) am an artist, she recommended a shop for art supplies. The neighborhood is our favorite, having come here for more than 20 years - rue Mouffetard, Jardin des Plantes, and a fantastic open marché at Place Monge. We hope to return soon!
The apartment is in a good location, close to the Metro and a wonderful patisserie! Interesting decor, well equipped and comfortable. It felt very safe, on the ground floor at the back of the building's courtyard. The windows have metal shutters for added security. All in all, a good home base for our visit to Paris.
We had a great two weeks in Francoise’s apartment, perfect for a couple. The champagne welcome was lovely, the bed comfortable. We felt very much at home there, and Loui was so helpful when we had a little health issue to deal with. We would happily stay there again. We were there during cool, damp weather and were comfortable without turning on any heating. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking simple meals.
We stayed ten days in this very cosy apartment.
Great location, we walked practically everywhere.
Everything is provided: bathrobes and slippers !
Dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, coffee machine and nespresso machine etc.
The apartment is very quiet, very clean.
One of the best we had and we do travel a lot!
Francoise was more than accommodating and Loui wonderfully helpful. Apt is BEAUTIFUL and has everything you might possibly need. The neighborhood is just that...like being at home with friends...butcher, cafes, grocery, pharmacy, cheese...and 3 metro stops no more than 10 minutes walk. We will stay nowhere else in Paris
We loved the apartment! In a great location near the Jardin des Plantes, with a boulangerie, pharmacy, and supermarkets (large and small)nearby. Several bus lines nearby take you anywhere, almost, you need to go. Bus 91 is a straight shot down to Montparnasse, for example). Loui and Françoise are friendly and welcoming. The apartment is comfortable, with everything you'd want or need. The bedroom has a King bed, unusual for France. We hope to stay here again.
The apartment was just as described and met all our expectations. The gregarious owner greeted us and gave a tour of the flat and its amenities. As we have been to Paris many times, our greatest enjoyment is living like locals. The square at the end of the street is perfect for finding wonderful produce, cheese, Italian specialties, and wine. There are also a couple of cafes and a small grocery so at the end of a long day, it's great to pick up a baguette and other essentials to enjoy. Thanks to Loui and owner Francoise for their friendly help.
We had the most wonderful trip to Paris. Loui's place was the perfect spot for us. Our host, Francoise, was a bit late to check us in; however, she was caught up in unanticipated traffic and was very friendly and accommodating and made up for it with showing us all the details off the apartment. The location was perfect. We were easily within walking distance to 3 different grocery stores and two metro stations. We were also welcomed with a very well stocked (beverages) fridge and Nespresso machine. We would highly recommend Loui's apartment to anyone wanting to experience a non-tourist stay outside the tourist hotels. It was truly wonderful.
Our stay was wonderful. Francoise met us there and she was so helpful with all the things we needed to know for our stay. Loui, the manager was also so very helpful. The apartment was clean and just what we needed. I loved the extra touches of the Nespresso machine and all the ammenities that were there. The neighborhood was one that I researched and it did not disappoint. Close to everything and very safe. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay on your trip to Paris this is the perfect place. Thank you Francoise & Loui!!! Happy New Year. The Bartletts/USA/Georgia
Very comfortable and welcoming apartment at a very convenient location. The check-in in person and the fast responsiveness was very much appreciated. While we had a small issue with internet at the beginning it was resolved, and everyone was very responsive and caring. Also I must say I have never had a host to attuned to every need of their guest. Everything has been thought out and provided. Thank you Francoise and Loui!
Wonderful vacation and enjoyed the premises. Checkin was a breeze and even had some goodies when we arrived and oh so needed after a very long travel. Location was spotless, and area was quiet. We were given some nearby restaurants that we took advantage of as well as grocery available nearby. (lovely bakery as well) There were maps as well that we took advantage of in order to find our way around the city. Apartment was cleaned once a week and incidentals restocked for us. Possibly for younger guests neighborhood may be considered "tame" however for us, our age and our old jobs, quiet was a welcome reprieve. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!! And we would love to return to this neighborhood but mostly to this apartment and the host who made our stay perfect!
What can I say? The apartment was perfect! It is located in the midst of the 5th Arrondissement, with a lot of local shops close by. We wandered down to the boulangerie that was less than two blocks away for breakfast croissants and to pick up fresh baguettes every morning.
Loui and Francoise are super people; very welcoming to everyone. They were both immediately available if there was any issue in the apartment that came up. They provided information on where food stuffs could be bought so we could avoid the large supermarkets.
We didn't get to see everything we wanted to see while we were there, but we plan on returning, and if available, we would see if this place was available!!
Loui et Francoise, merci beaucoup pour votre aimable accueil a Paris!!
