The Neighborhood:
Rue Guisarde is one of Saint-Germain-des-Prés's most animated little streets, lined with restaurants, wine bars and café terraces that fill up from lunchtime onwards and stay lively well into the evening. The area around the Place Saint-Sulpice is just a few steps away, with its beautiful fountain square, the church of Saint-Sulpice and the excellent Yves Saint Laurent boutique on the corner. The Jardin du Luxembourg is a 10-minute walk, and the legendary cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain, Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, are a short stroll away.
The location is superbly central for exploring both banks of the Seine. The Musée d'Orsay is a comfortable 20-minute walk along the river, and the Notre-Dame, the Latin Quarter and the Île Saint-Louis are all easily reachable on foot. Independent bookshops, galleries, patisseries and wine merchants fill the surrounding streets, and the Métro at Saint-Sulpice and Mabillon puts the rest of the city within easy reach. Please note that as the street is home to a number of popular restaurants and bars, there may be some ambient noise in the evenings, particularly on weekends.

Great location in a neighborhood of great restaurants and bars. Wonderful grocery across the street. Late night noise can be a factor, especially on the weekend.
The flat was in a very good condition. The location is perfect. Our host seemed to be an AI generated bot. We did not have the chance to see, talk to him or get a human response. Other than that, "it" was perfectly polite, correct and trying to solve problems it wasn't able to.
Clean, darling apartment. Close to a cute bakery for breakfast and a grocery story for any other needs. Nice location in the city, transportation close. Check-in and Check-out process is a bit quirky, but management worked through it with us and were up front about late check-in fees (felt this was a bit excessive/avoilable). This is close to the college campus and a couple little restaurants that cater to the college crowd, so late night weekend noise is inevitable.
Nice apartment in a convenient location for walking out taking public transit to many Paris attractions. Cafes, bakeries, and restaurants steps away. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive to a couple of questions we had. The one big downside in our experience is that the apartment is located directly above a night club that played loud music until 2am on 2 of the 3 nights (Saturday and Sunday) of our stay. This is more than street noise with the beat coming through floor even with windows closed.
We loved the location and the flat was a good fit for our family of four (kids ages 8 & 11) - made for a wonderful 3-night visit to Paris. Pros:- great location with amazing bakeries, cafés and a killer grocery store all on the same block- pullout bed for kids was comfortable- it was nice to have a washing machine (a guide on how to use wash vs. wash/dry vs. dry would be ideal) - drying rack was large and helpful- kitchen was stocked with small appliances that made for a very comfortable stayCons:- bedroom mattress was incredibly lumpy (not the "superior quality mattress" in the listing)- pillows were all severely stained - linens were clean but you still knew what was underneath- it's a very busy street (understandable for Paris) and the late-night bars downstairs were loud for our kids staying in the front room (we brought a sound machine and this helped a lot)

Great location, but dusty and noisy.
This apartment is in an awesome location, full with bars and restaurants.Unfortunately, the apartment was not clean at all: - A lot of dust and allergens (there seem to be a smoking station from anyone exiting a restaurant or bar right below the apartment windows) - Signs of water damage (the shower leaks all over the bathroom floors). - Dishwashers smellsIt was missing utensils. It is also super noisy with people leaving from the restaurants and bars at any time of the night (check for the corner of street Princess, you will understand).Definitely not the place for you if you envision a restful stay (there are 2 places to sleep on, but I wouldn't call them beds).
Great neighbourhood, convenient near transit, great location, clean flat. Great place for adults to stay. Lively neighborhood! Convenient with plenty of restaurant options and grocery stores. Recommend play to stay.
We loved the apartment and its location, with one exception. The place sits directly above a bar-club where tremendously loud music was played into early morning hours each and every night of our one-week stay. We did feel the property description underplayed this reality. On the positive side, if electronics and other dance club music is your jam, the place is ideal—just pop downstairs and you’re there.

Great location
The location was great a real throw back to Paris experience. Lots of local bars and restaurants right under our window! The bed comfortable, and tucked in the back you lots of privacy. The weekend is very noisy with young people up all night partying and loud, the street underneath our windows roving bands of drunk young people. The WiFi didn’t work and the hosts did nothing to fix it during our stay, so we relied on our cell data provider to get any internet.
We stayed here as a family of four (2 adults, 12-year-old, 9-year-old) traveling from Canada. The pros:I would describe the property as huge for the price and location in Europe. It's actually much bigger than it looked online. The property was very clean. The host supplied a lot of extra pillows and blankets and plenty of towels. The location felt very safe. Even coming back late at night, we never felt unsafe in that area. It was conveniently close to public transit. The cons:The only con was the noise at night. As others mentioned there is a dance club very near by. The dance music would start pounding at around 11 and go into the early hours.About the noise, it's not just regular street noise. Its dance club noise. So you can feel the bass music reverberating through the building. We are heavy sleepers so it never bothered is too much, but if you're a light sleeper it could ruin your night.

Great location if it wasn’t for the dance bar
The apartment is on a busy street. That can be great during the day and early evening. A lot of life. But it can be noisy at night. We could probably have lived with that, but there is a full on dance bar directly under the property, it is open for half the week. Of the three nights we were there when it was open, I was able to sleep for two but not the third. I have expensive sleep earbuds. My wife struggled so much she rented a different small room at an expensive hotel. My son was only able to sleep on and off. There were problems with the Wi-Fi and it took the owner long time to fix it. They never fixed one of the lights that was out. But it is reasonably priced for central Paris.
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP.
From the minute you click accept on Expedia for this third party flat you will regret it. It starts with the contract and everything goes downhill from there.
Expect to provide your full passport online, who knows where your confidential information is now stored. Our major bank declined the deposit payment because they thought this place was a scam.
We boarded our flight to Paris still not knowing how to access the building or get the keys. That is a joke. When you finally get the keys, in a laundrette, expect to meet colourful characters to help guide you.
The video to access the flat is incorrect, there is a security gate that is unmarked & the method of entry is unclear. Neighbours eventually let us in.
As the nightclub fires up downstairs you will realise your next problem, it stopped at 6:00am the next morning. After 3 night we had enough & booked another hotel.
We never spoke to a real human about this place, no support, totally unsatisfactory for Expedia. We book 60 room nights a year & never comment on the hotel. In this case we make the exception because it was so bad.
Totally unacceptable Expedia.
Skvělý pobyt v centrální a bezpečné lokalitě!
