Parisian Apartment in Montorgueil
We did not enjoy our stay in this apartment.
The apartment shares a building with a night club playing electronic dance music from 7pm until 2am. We stayed 8 nights and the club was open every night except for one of those nights. You can hear the music throughout the entire apartment but it is worse in the bedrooms. When the music stops you can hear everything going on in the neighbouring apartment (showers, toilets flushing, iPhone alarms and people walking around).
The apartment was not clean and the bathroom had a bad mould problem throughout. The bathroom needs an exhaust fan. The cleanliness of the apartment generally was not acceptable.
There were specific requirements for the apartment to be left in a clean state when leaving and occupants are required to take the bins out and do the dishes (which is reasonable and we were happy to do) but there were no extra bin bags and no plug for the sink to do the dishes.
Nothing additional was provided to improve the stay (hand soap in the bathroom, body wash, shampoos, conditioner or enough toilet paper). Towels were however provided.
We understand that there isn’t much that you can do about the location but it should at least be advertised so that people can make an informed decision about whether they are willing to put up with sharing the building with a night club.
