"We had a great stay at Cenica the Curio Collection in Porto! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was great; walkable to the historic district and some great restaurants literally across the street. The last morning we had the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was LOVELY! So many great options, wonderful staff who make great cappuccinos, and delicious food. One odd thing was that you are unable to control the thermostat in the room. So if you like to sleep with a very cold room, you have to call down to the front desk and they adjust the temperature of the room for you. We had never encountered that before. But when asked, they did do it and the temperature was fine for sleeping! The bed was comfortable, the gym is a bit small for a mainstream hotel, but the equipment was good. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!"

The hotel and grounds are palatial, but the staff and service is the key to the elegance of our stay and experience there. I’m so regretful that I cannot recall the name of the man at the front desk who checked us in, but he was so extraordinarily helpful and professional, getting us reservations for a river cruise. We have the highest recommendations for the hotel, and our stay was elegant beyond belief. The bellman who took up our bags to the room had been there last year to help us as well, and was so high end and professional."

"Wife and I (Canadian) stayed here for 3 nights to see Porto for first time. Loved Porto and Duoro Valley! The staff, accommodation, location (right next to campanha station) were absolutely perfect! It was easy access to Sao Bento station (city center) and high speed train to Albufeira. The staff are very kind. The breakfast provided was great. They provided a take away food bag for our early morning checkout to catch train to Albufeira. Not expected at all. The room was clean, very cool, and quite. Poveira hotel highly recommended!!"
