"Our car broke down in the desert and I could not get anyone to communicate with me. I tried through Expedia and I left a VMX on the phone number provided asking for help. NO ONE returned my call or answered my message. My rating is based solely on my experience, not the cabins appearance since we couldn't get there. We got towed to Boulder City and had to wait there for the car to be repaired."

"I had to give 4 stars because the aerial view made the stay appear to be secluded, however, there were a few mini houses above the property that shared a road and there were others staying in those properties. One of the renters came down to our rental because they thought we were the owners and needed to connect to the WiFi at our site. It was odd. But other than that a nice place to get away. Just not as secluded and private as I had expected based on the photos"

"Stayed here on our way from Vegas to Winslow where we are going to visit Painted Desert. Location was about half way. It’s tucked away from other businesses but has everything you need in this location. Restaurant on site has good food and reasonable prices. There is a market with food items and other necessities within walking distance. There is a very nice gift shop in the lobby area. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The outdoor heated pool was refreshing after a long day of traveling and the hot tub a nice treat afterwards. Room was clean and comfy. There are trains running by, but noise is barely noticeable. The front desk has ear plugs if the noise bothers you. I would definitely return here the next time I’m visiting the parks in this area. "

"This is an adorable hotel – a classic from days gone by! I was traveling Route 66 and this is what you want to experience how it was in the 50s and 60s. No amenities, but character out the wazoo! The lady at the front desk is super super nice, and the roads are very clean. They have upgraded the sink to a more modern one, but the bathtub is original. The bed was super soft, which I like, and it was quiet. If you were wanting make up wipes, lotions, and chocolates on your pillow, this isn’t for you – but if you want a true route 66 hotel experience, this is a cute place! I would stay there again!"

"Very nice staff and decent stay. Suggestions to help them increase their rates by 50%: 1) replace coffeemaker with Nespresso Virtuos (Nespresso provides the machines for free to hotels!), 2) put dimmers on the lights as it feels like a Wal-Mart with those garish lights, 3) use 2700K warm white bulbs, 4) re-paint with a washable flat sheen paint, 5) put $1000 4D massage chairs in the rooms (hey, back in 2006 a 42" TV was $3000, you can do it), 6) install 5 zone minisplit heat pumps for whisper quiet heating and cooling, costs about $900 per room but you'll save on utilities and increase guest satisfaction over those stinky and noisy window units. Suggestions to reduce housekeeping times and costs: 1) full size wall mount shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion dispensers save so much time and money, 2) stop tucking in your sheets, guests hate that and it is back breaking! Instead use 3 T300 6mm micro stripe flat sheets between a gel blanket, collar the sheets, don't tuck them, 3) spray your rooms with odor neutralizer after cleaning. Caution! For guests, don't walk too far west, we passed a house with a dog and the owner was holding it back. Upon walking back we walked in the middle of the road to avoid the dog, it jumped the fenced and attacked all three of us, my friend was bitten on the leg, just hours before we hiked to Havasupai."

"Dirty room. Could not use bath tub shower. When I used Sind in bath, water came up from tub. Very dirty. Mirror not clean. Pillows dirty and had hair on them . No staff just one person dealing with it all."
