"This is a stunning "Georgian" property in a glorious location with excellent parking facilities. We were met by owner Robert, who showed us to our room and treated us to a slice of home made cake and a hot drink.
The room was spacious, very comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean and had a gorgeous ensuite bathroom. Tea making facilities were provided and everything had been thought of by our wonderful host. Breakfast was delicious and generous and the home made scones were yummy. There are no pubs or restaurants within easy walking distance, but Robert is happy to make recommendations if you wish to drive or take a taxi. All in all we had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to highly recommend this property."

It is also located a bit away from the main shopping area, so quieter than if nearer the town.

"The Pine Marten is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel building is separate from the pub so no noise. The bedroom was clean with all facilities. The bed was (unlike in some hotels) very comfortable. Had continental breakfast each day at £6 odd. It was adequate but no yoghurt mixed with berries like at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Also the music being played was dire

"Such welcoming staff who were so helpful in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful, really tasty and lots of variety. The full Scottish breakfast was a firm favourite! The room was super clean and quiet. A lovely stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, which a quaint village feel. This has a family feel to it! Thank you, my 7 year old son would love to stay again. "
