"Nice old fashioned Scottish hotel. Comfortable bed and linens, great staff and food was delicious. Very accommodating and classic decor. Big room, very clean. Nice garden view. The sound of cooing pigeons each morning was really nice. 15 minute bus to North Berwick, which was a fantastic place to visit and spend time. I would recommend!"

"This was a stop over on the way to a holiday further north in Scotland. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are a little tired but perfectly functional. One of our rooms was to the front of the hotel opposite the local supermarket and cash point (the cashpoint is regularly used and weirdly noisy) - the supermarket opens early - if you are a light sleeper the noise will wake you up. Interestingly we booked 2 rooms at the same price and they differed massively in terms of space and bathroom size - one was certainly worth more than the other. All in all it was a comfortable stay with friendly staff and a very hearty breakfast included. I probably wouldn't stay again as the price is on the high side for what it offers,"
