Top Garvald Hotel Reviews

Dalhousie Castle

8/10 Good

"We really appreciated Preston and Kiera. They were both so nice and helpful . They demonstrated the luxury and attention to out needs we were hoping to receive. The grounds are beautiful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We recommend a stay here."

The Linton Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Contrary to some other reviews we (2 adults+dog) found the Linton to be very pleasant and convenient. The room was clean (although the carpet could do with a bit of tlc), and you like to see and hear trains going past (we do!) then this is the place for you. The room was big enough to move around in and place a dog bed in. The only downside was the weak shower - as other reviewers have also mentioned. The cooked breakfast was very good, using high quality ingredients, and catering for a veggie and a meat-eater equally. For £90 per night in this part of the world it was great value. Would definitely come back."

The Sun Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We were coming in late, so I called ahead. The front desk was very accommodating even though we arrived after they were closed. They left our keys for us clearly marked. The room was wonderful and the bed was spacious. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Our room had the old-style skeleton key so if you are not used to that it might be good to brush up on how to use it before you arrive. We've experienced that a few times in the UK so it was OK for us."
