Definitely recommend staying here
Though Ellemford may not have many top sights, you can venture to the surrounding area to see attractions like Duns Castle Nature Reserve and The Jim Clark Room.

Parking was easy, shower a bit wonky door but easy to use, was a bit hot in the night but very comfortable. Shame there was nowhere to get food.

Huge fancy mansion house and tower with a lot of history. I've stayed in a variety of rooms, classic to mini-suite a number of times. It's quiet, tranquil and very well kept. Wonderful place exactly as advertised, and Cathy (the host) was so engaged prior to our visit. It was more remote than we figured, not knowing how expansive the area is west of Edinburgh. Great time. Would stay again.

Great space for 3 couples, fantastic views to sit with morning coffee and two very well behaved dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden space. Stair gates supplied kept them in downstairs area so everyone could relax . Kitchen had everything we required to prepare cook a dinner . There’s a Coop in the village ...

Much better than I expected. The owner has made an effort here. Right on Dalkeith high streer. Noisy area but felt safe.
