"Room was very small, however still enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely kind and right in the middle of downtown. Will come back again but possibly get a bigger room. "

"This is my second time staying here at El Castell Motel. They by far have the best beds. They are soft, but not too soft, exactly how I like them. The locations is literally from 1.5 mi to 3 mil of where we wanted to shop/visit/eat. Their pillows are like new. I can't say the same about others I have stayed at. The 1 bed rooms are a bit small, but the price of stay is very reasonable especially when you reserve through Hotels.com. The staff they have at the Lobby are so sweet and helpful. I recommend the coffee machine in the Lobby as well. This motel isn't very fancy, but the price is fair, and very comfortable. "

"Great location, easily accessible to downtown Monterey and short driving distance to Pacific Grove and Carmel. Lots of amazing restaurants within walking distance as well as wine tasting rooms. The hotel lounge is massive and has a restaurant that’s open throughout the day. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating."
