"The stay was disappointing overall. The room had cobwebs and dust all over the walls, which made it feel poorly maintained. There was also no AC in the room, and this was not mentioned anywhere during booking. When we raised our concerns with the staff, they were not very helpful and came across as stubborn. Instead of addressing the issue properly, the response we got was basically, “This is an old hotel, around 100 years old, what do you expect?” That was quite unprofessional and disappointing."

"We stayed for 1 night. We will stay longer next time. Prime location to downtown and the fisherman's Wharf. We utilized the gym in the morning it was nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The valet parking staff provided excellent customer service. We definitely will be back."

"I do a lot of traveling -- this was the worst hotel stay I've experienced in years. The rooms are very dated and worn. The furniture was all in need of replacement -- barren patches and stains. The plumbing was terrible. For example, the bathroom sink faucet barely produced a dribble of water. The dining room for the included breakfast was way too small, no place to sit. Long line of people wanting to make waffles. Other food options were cheap cereal and muffins. We gave up -- grabbed a few muffins and left. When we first arrived, the hotel staff outside of our room were yelling to/at each other. Very pleasant -- not! At checkin, the desk staff should have already had our contact information through hotels.com. Nevertheless, they shoved a paper form in front of me asking to fill everything in. When we checked out, the desk staff was having some kind of disagreement with a patron. I waited for a while then finally dropped by room card on the desk, told him my room number and walked out. On the positive, there was plenty of parking and the property is close to Asilomar. Everything else was a bummer. Avoid this place if you can."

"Friendly reception. Clean room. Internet was not good, the tv had comcast so there was no way to connect to other apps. The shower was clean and very small. Bring your own conditioner the shampoo was very cheap like glue texture. Nice hot water. The hot tub is old, we didn’t get it. The yard was clean but there were planters by the room with dead plans or just dirt. The place is pet friendly so be aware! We had a neighbor that went out to see the sunrise and left the dog hollowing at 5 am!!! And on!!! Close the the beaches but there are lots of places to stay in the area!"
