"The room had a very nice view and was spacious (huge bathroom). Location was walking distance to cannery row and aquarium. Right on the beach, you can walk down to the water. Lovely fountain outside. Nice hot tub on the 4th floor overlooking the water. "

"I usually don't book motels, but I decided to take a chance on El Castell given all the positive reviews. I came for the Monterey Bay Half Marathon and everything worked out perfectly. The room was clean and well lit, and the mattress was pretty comfy. Would stay again!"

"Our room was very clean and comfortable. We loved having a fireplace! We also selected this property because it had a heated pool, and a hot tub. We enjoyed both! It had a convenient location that was very close to all the things we wanted to do while we were in Monterey, and was directly across from a shopping center that had a grocery store, a coffee shop and a number of other fun businesses."
