Wonderful two-night stay

Two-night stay in April, Peebles is a small town and the Tontine is centrally located with ~10 parking spaces behind it. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and assistance with have some laundry done overnight. The included breakfast was excellent and filling. Would stay there again.

Staff made us very welcome. Hotel very clean. Situated central to shops restaurants buses and walking areas. Parking area to the back. If stayed again though would ask for another room as we were in basement with no view.

Excellent hotel.

Such lovely, helpful staff. The surroundings were very comfortable, the food was first class. It’s evident it really is ‘Team Tontine’ with everyone working well together. The service in the restaurant was of a high standard, the tables are nicely spaced and the standard of cleanliness was exemplary. We were aware that dogs were catered for and those we encountered during our stay were very well behaved!

The one word for this hotel is “impeccable “. The facilities are great and the food is excellent. None of the usual tepid buffet here! Everything is freshly cooked. Ten out of ten for everything. This is the first time I have ever given such a good review, and they deserve it.

Two night stay Feb 25

Location of hotel is central to Peebles town centre with free car parking to rear. The hotel is looking worn and in need of a refresh, throughout the hotel carpets need cleaning or replaced. Room (2) is also worn carpets and ceiling looks like water damage in one corner, bathroom ok but unable to close door as door frame tight
