A memorable retreat styled in homage to the iconic Flying Scotsman, rich in first-class comfort and peacefully secluded on the scenic Settle to Carlisle railway line in Cumbria. Many memorabilia items of the great steam engine from a ticket machine to a cuckoo clock and huge photos of when she last passed the station in September 2023 Beautifully styled with Double and King size beds modern bathrooms and huge kitchen with breakfast bar. 12 foot ceilings greet you in the lounge through the boot room with its antique monks bench. Solid oak flooring throughout to add to the luxuriuos feel, with hints of exposed sandstone wall and original cornice in places. Fully triple glazed with log burner, electric underfloor infra red heating, heat recovery ventilation system, 22kw EV charger and its own 14kw solar farm and battery storage to make an extremely eco friendly experience.

A comfortable and quirky place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Scotsman and loved the character and original features. It was warm and cosy, especially with the wood burner. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cater for our stay. The beds were very comfortable too. It was very handy to have an EV charger on site.

What a brilliant place to stay. It’s a lovely cottage with lots of original railway bits and bobs. We loved it!
