We arrived with two young children on an intense heat wave day to check in for a confirmed, family room booked through Expedia. At check-in we were told the air conditioning in our room was broken. They made no attempt to inform us in advance of the issue or rebook us into a different room. "This hotel has all the luxuries one would expect from a chain like Mercure. The building is huge, at times feeling like a set for the film ‘Shining’.
It is not for me, simply because it has no soul, no character or style. The fittings are cheap, the vibe a bit large group holidays. Spa is accessible with a 30 euro fee."

"The Villa Montarioso is a fantastic stay. The staff was delightful, the breakfast was amazing. It is a little out-of-the-way, but the S7 bus stop is a few steps away and the taxi is only about 15 Euros to get into the tourist area."

"Staffs/ receptionist are all great. They speak English w/c is rare in this part of town. They are very helpful especially Antonetta & Miguellena. Buffet breakfast, they have laundry area, bar and restaurant. Rooms are decent and clean. There is an old church at the back, but it was closed when we went there. "
