"Property was easy to find however room was pretty small and twin bed set up was not ideal for stay with baby. If with small baby please take big double bed room or baby cot, sleeping with young baby on the twin bed was nightmare for us. Breakfast was okay but mostly bread and cheese and boiled eggs, not ideal for Indian vegetarian travellers."

"We really enjoyed this beautiful property and it was everything they said it would be. That said, I would never have rented it had I been given the real check-out procedure ahead of time, just because I avoid overly onerous check out procedures. In all the times my husband and I have rented places in VRBO and other places, "take out the trash" has never meant find a "designated municipal waste collection point" on your own and carry the garbage along with your bags to dispose of it. Also, I always try to find the glass recycling on my own to be a considerate guest, but with no guidance, from the owner, I was unable to find one, despite running around the town with it in the final hour of checkout. A little help to be a good guest would have been greatly appreciated."

"Linda’s house was absolutely adorable in a picturesque setting right in the heart of the Appenzell region. The views from her home were magnificent. She made check-in a breeze. Parking was a little tight but do-able. The ceilings were very low, at about 5’6” so my 6’4” husband kept hitting his head on the beams. The master bedroom mattress was a little hard to my liking so I slept on the couch one night. Also, there were no towels or washcloths in the room but she graciously provided us with her own supply when I asked. There is no hairdryer provided in the bathroom and no tv or wifi in the accommodation. But to be honest, that didn’t bother me at all. The point of our vacation was to disconnect from the world and just enjoy each other’s company without distractions. We loved it! My husband even suggested we try to book more time there. The house is only about 7min from the Ebenalp lift and about 20 min from Appenzell town proper. You must have a car to reach the property- it’s too far to walk from the train station. There are cows with cowbells everywhere and my kids loved that. Linda also provided a basket of art supplies in the living area so my kids could unplug and just draw and create artwork together- it was very thoughtful. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend this accommodation to future guests."

"My husband and I had a great stay at this apartment. Very spacious living room with many decorations that made the place more beautiful. The kitchen has many cooking utensils and species for our use. It has a dishwasher, oven and stovetop, no microwave. The bathroom very ample with bathtub and separate shower. The bed was comfortable. The owner meet us when checking in, and he explained all there was needed. Below the apartment lives a family and we had to be careful regarding the noise. Thank you for all Beat. Patty"

"The apartment is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the train station, a 5 minute walk from the center of town in Appenzell, and just about a 7 minute walk to grocery stores/supermarkets. The host em was very responsive and helpful, and provided us with the info we needed for a great stay. The apartment was perfect for our family of four (with teenagers) visiting the Appenzell area. It is located on an upper floor of the building with both elevator and stair access. The entry to the apartment building is accessible from a paved walkway that runs behind the building, as there is a business that operates on the street side of the building’s first floor. The apartment was clean and welcoming with plenty of space for us to feel at home. The well-stocked kitchen was a comfortable size to prepare meals and the balcony was a great place to spend the evening with some fresh air. The two bedrooms were comfortable and provided plenty of space for our luggage and ourselves. While the large living area provided a place to gather and relax. Overall our stay at this apartment in Appenzell was a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area."
