"The hotel is ideally located with a train station 10 minutes walk away. The staff are so helpful and very friendly. The breakfast is wonderful very fresh and everything you could want. The room was so clean and well maintained as is the whole building. Would definitely stay there again. "

"The stand out things for myself and my friend was Giulia the receptionist she was amazing from picking perfect room to helping us book taxi and asking about our day a true asset to the hotel Settentrionale Hotel Settentrionale Esplanade . The hotel has the most lovely position and beautiful terrace to sit and enjoy and cocktail the aircon works well I. The room the other person to mention is Andrea who checked us in . Breakfast is ok but could do with some fruit salad or strawberry etc but perfectly adequate . The hotel has the grand feel just could do with updates but ignore negative reviews it’s as it’s a quiet place . Thanks again ."

"We wish we could give 10 stars! This was one of the most amazing hotel experiences we have ever had across multiple trips to Europe. Not sure how we fell into this boutique gem but glad we did. Clean, well maintained, beautifully appointed, everything is modern and works as expected! The location is ideal to explore Pistoia. The train is a very easy 12 minute walk. There is a breakfast available for 12 euro. Well worth it! My wife is a 4 shots of espresso girl over ice. They didn’t flinch and didn’t disappoint. Can’t say enough about the staff. From Llario to Leonardo and especially Matteo they answered every question with careful thought. We felt like family was taking care of us. Before we arrived they arranged a driver for us to get to our next destination. Not easy when you are traveling in a group of 7 with too many suitcases! If you are thinking of Pistoia then look no further than Palazzo 42."

"The hotel is spotless and the cleaners were polite and kept the room very clean. The food is just ok. The pool is excellent with plenty of loungers and parasols. The location is a bit out of town ( half an hours walk) and at the top of a hill. Some of the staff unfortunately were quite rude, whilst the others however were friendly and helpful .The beer bottles from the bar fridge were warm. The draught beer was flat and half of it was foam. All in all its a good clean hotel with an excellent swimming pool."
