"The house is beautiful and very well kept. It’s located in a quaint neighborhood and close enough to all main attractions Tampa has to offer. The amenities were more than enough for our family of 3. Highly recommend and will likely plan to stay again at The Great Escape. "

"The room was nice, only thing was that I booked a room at least a month in advance and called to check about it a couple days before my trip and I was told I would get whatever was available and not what I had already booked, which was a little weird."

"Our family of 3 and dog spend 6 days in this property and really enjoyed it, house has everything you need and feels like home. Backyard is beautiful with good size pool and screenporch is very useful if you want to have morning or evening cup of tea without mosquitoes. Chris responded very quickly to our questions. There are 3 supermarkets in 7 min drive and area is very safe and quiet. Overall we loved that property and looking forwards to return. Thank you Chris "

"I usually won’t leave a negative review but I felt this was warranted. Sadly it’s run down. The hallways smell like mildew. Our room has brown spots down the bathroom wall by the light switch. The base boards we so dusty. The shower had mold the ceiling had water damage and mold. The base of the bed that touched the floor was very dirty. The lamps shades were cracked and had brown spots on them and the metal part was rusty. Staff was very nice. Given the condition of our room we did not try the breakfast. "

"I wish we had more time to enjoy this space. It was comfortable and nice. Tampa is very spread out and we went many places and this place was convenient, but with a car. (Thats a Tampa thing) close to good food, and bars, and grocery store. Neighborhood felt safe. On the rare days that the weather is cool or cold, dont get the pool heated. Theyll let you know in advance it wont get warmer than a few degrees over ambient temp, so its not a surprise. The pool area was very nice, so if you're going when its warmer. You'll probably enjoy it. The host responded to questions quickly and we didnt have any issues. "
