"Dire che il mio soggiorno in questa struttura sia stato "piacevole" sarebbe riduttivo. Dal momento in cui ho varcato la soglia fino all'istante della partenza, l'esperienza è stata un crescendo di eccellenza, cura del dettaglio e relax assoluto. Il vero cuore pulsante della struttura è, senza dubbio, il suo personale. Raramente capita di incontrare un team così armonioso: ogni membro dello staff si è distinto per una cortesia autentica e una professionalità impeccabile. Non si limitano a...

"The hotel was quite a disappointment. We were there as a couple and had booked all-inclusive.
However, at check-in we had to pay over €150 extra for a club membership, which we didn't know what it was for.
Included in the all inclusive package was the food, which was more or less the same every day and only water and wine from a tap to drink. We drank from plastic glasses.
Every other drink, such as cola, had to be paid for separately with a card at 3.50 per can.

"FULL STOP! BOOK IT! Anne, Giuseppe and Angela in the breakfast room are ALL AMAZING! The entire staff was kind and supportive of even helping me talk italian because I was in language school. Get the parking information in advance and reserve your spot. They will arrange for a pick up at the garage and you don't have to schlepp your luggage which in Matera can be challenging. I absolutely LOVED this property and I have traveled to 37 countries. Charming - unique and I simply adored the cave experience."
"L’hôtel est magnifiquement situé. Prendre note que si vous arrivez en voiture, vous devrez la stationner à environ 20 minutes de marche. L’hôtel est très propre. Cependant, la salle de bain est derrière un mur de vitre, donc douche et toilette complément ouvertes sur la chambre. Ce qui était très malaisant puisque je voyageais avec ma fille."
"We had a lovely time. Our room was very charming, only the bathroom is a bit dated but we loved our room overall. The staff is super friendly with the exception of Giuseppe, cranky old man hanging out in the lobby around breakfast time. He is rude and yanked the tax money out of my hand at checkout.
Location is absolutely perfect for this hotel. If you stay you must eat at Kaive Restaurant only a few steps away. Mind blowing experience there."
"Fabulous hotel right beside the Duomo/Cathedral in Matera. The rooftop terrace overlooked the old Sassi and the town. Room was lovely and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful"
"We loved our stay at here. Hotel is in a great location with an amazing view on the ravine and the oldest part of Matera. Restaurants in walking distance and well placed within the city. Staff was SUPER helpful, even helping us through a crazy situation when our rental car was almost towed from the free parking because of a misunderstanding about when it would close for the city to mow. Thank goodness their shuttle driver was there to translate the situation to the police! They even offered to pay the ticket we got since they had suggested this parking (not knowing that the city would be closing it to mow). Breakfast was great with a variety of options from proteins to pastries. The only thing I would suggest to the hotel is adding a dehumidifier to each cave room. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room and it was quite humid making the linens feel almost damp. I’m sure this is normal for a cave, but I do think a dehumidifier would help! Beds were very comfortable and ac worked well. Overall a fabulous stay!"
"All it was an excellent location. You are right in the heart of the Old Town. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly If I had a negative it would be the lack of in room copy period and do not follow Google map directions as it will lead you in the wrong direction"
