About this property
Secluded house on 12 acres, set in the tree canopy, loch views and private beach
Darach is a 1970s lochside house on 12 private acres on Loch Tummel, with views across the water to Schiehallion. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeping up to four. Within walking distance of the village and Inn, yet feeling entirely off the beaten track.
Winding paths traverse ancient woodland and open meadow, leading to a private beach on the loch shore, where you can swim, kayak, birdwatch, or stargaze.
The house is elevated in the tree canopy, affording panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. You can watch the sunsets blaze across the loch; the wood-burning stove crackling, a glass of whisky in hand, or sit out on the wrap-around deck and listen to the trees whisper around you.
The interiors are thoughtfully finished, with deep sofas, a selection of books, a botanical-themed bathroom with a freestanding bath, and a master bedroom with views over the loch.
What's Included
Luxury welcome hamper with locally sourced artisan products and a decanter of whisky. Two-fire supply of logs, kindling, natural firelighters and matches for the wood-burning stove. Bean-to-cup coffee machine with coffee beans and a selection of breakfast teas. Essential pantry items: olive oil, condiments, spices, kitchen roll, toilet roll, cleaning materials, hoover, and hairdryer. Projector and electronic screen for cinema experiences, compatible with personal Apple TV, Netflix, or Sky Sports accounts. Fibre broadband internet. Premium bed linen and towels. Handmade toiletries from the exclusive Highland Soap Company. Library featuring board games, recipe books, local guides, and maps. A comprehensive guide to Darach is provided in both print and PDF formats.
The House
Spacious, light-filled sitting room with views of the surrounding trees, loch, and mountains; includes two sofas, armchairs, marble coffee table, wood-burning stove, dining table for up to six, and patio doors opening to the deck. Full-length wrap-around deck furnished for outdoor dining and relaxation. Two bedrooms: one master with a king-sized bed, and a twin room with convertible beds that can function as two singles or a large double bed. Two bathrooms: one with a freestanding bath, the other with a walk-in shower. Fully equipped kitchen: microwave, double oven, stovetop, XL American fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and high-quality knives. Utility room with additional fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and overhead clothes airer. Central heating and heated towel rails. Filtered and UV-treated Scottish spring water supply. On-site parking for up to four vehicles. Child cot and chair available. No pets permitted.
The Land

Pitlochry is 15 minutes by car and has restaurants, independent shops, a supermarket, and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. The Enchanted Forest light installation runs in the autumn. Blair Castle and its grounds are nearby, as are several whisky distilleries, including Edradour and Blair Athol.
