"Absolutely perfect hotel! The wildlife, staff and accommodations were fantastic. Many different tourists, from around the world, and even the guests were kind and friendly. It is not a fancy hotel but we ate at expensive (“exclusive “) hotel restaurants at times and Hotel Verde Mar was a WAY better of experience overall. Just fabulous!"

"We could not be happier with this hotel experience, really the highlight of our entire trip to Costa Rica. Located perfectly between the beach and the entrance to the national park, La Vela is basically in the forest itself, with monkeys and iguanas regular visitors to its outdoor "hallways." Staff was kind and accommodating, pizza at the bar was a wonderful easy meal, and the rooms were clean and bright. Highly, highly recommend. "
