"Everything about the place itself was great, and Rafael was a responsive and helpful host. The location was convenient, parking was right next to the house, and the cooler and beach towels provided were a really nice touch.My only hesitation is for solo travelers. The property is a gated community with several other rentals. When I arrived, there was an older man staying in one of the neighboring rentals. As I was getting my things out of the car, he came outside and stared at me for a long time. He didn’t say hi or acknowledge me—he just stared long enough that, as a woman traveling alone, I honestly felt scared and uncomfortable. Later, when I returned from getting food, he came outside, waved, and then sat on the hammock watching me without saying anything. Because of that, I didn’t feel comfortable using the hammock or spending much time outside.I also felt a little uneasy about the privacy of the shower window and the bedroom blinds, which stayed slightly open. I ended up putting pillows near the window for additional privacy.Aguadilla is very windy, so there were also constant knocking and moving sounds around the house, which can be a little unsettling when you’re staying alone. There was also a kitchen drawer that would slowly open on its own after I had c"
