This is the best hotel I have been ever in my whole life. The hospitality was beyond outstanding they check the room twice per day they prepare every single thing for you even the tiny details they will take care of it. For the facility I have not seen this type of facility in my whole life, a suite on the tree this is amazing with the the best view of the mountain everything around, very peaceful. The Clean is very very clean rooms. There were two restaurant inside the Tesla all of them are amazing and the food is nice. Tesla there is the bar in my experience that I would not see any hotel with this type of experience in my whole life like what they have

The best bit was the monkeys and the baboons. The staff were very lovely, still struggled to do soft fried eggs but hey ho

Fabulous spot but food a let down
This is an amazing property with 5 star facilities and service to match. It was let down by the food unfortunately but otherwise I would highy recommend this romantic spot.

Tsala Treetop Lodge is a 5 star romantic hotel set in amongst a forest of trees and overlooking a tree clad canyon. The rooms are outstanding as is the service. The view from the balcony is wonderful and the in lounge real fire was a great touch. Our room had its own plunge pool which was a bit cold but on the one hot day this was very refreshing. Service is a bit amateur but very enthusiastic and kind. The thing that let down the property was the food quality. My potjie was excellent but the rest of my party found their food dry. The omelette in the morning was greasy, smelled of overcooked oil and was virtually inedible. The choice on the buffet was good. I would stay here again but hope food gets an uplift.

Treetop Delight
We really appreciated the genuine care of the staff and the magnificent treetop setting. Dinner was good, but breakfast among the trees was the real highlight. Both the rooms and surrounding gardens were exquisite.

Absolute Perfection
Few places will match the experience of staying here. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny. The accommodation is superb and the rooms so comfortable. The grounds fabulous, service immaculate and almost guaranteed that you will see either monkeys or baboons on your doorstep. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Lives up to expectations - highly recommend.
Tsala lives up to its reputation and your expectations. It's a magical haven for R&R. The attention to detail across the site is superb. We enjoyed two nights in a luxury villa, with incredible views. The rooms are immaculate, supremely comfortable and well presented throughout, and the outdoor shower was a great surprise - nothing like waking up and smelling nature. A minor drawback is the pools aren't heated, and ours had a lot of canopy cover so didn't benefit from the sub's heat either (it's noted though that Tsala are aware of this and working on it despite significant engineering challenges!). We dined at both Zinzi (the public restaurant) and Tsala (the guests restaurant), and enjoyed both but the latter did step it up a notch. Both are really well presented and comfortable, and boast strong wine lists. The service was generally superb, save for a few individuals that were cold and somewhat aloof (one a Manager). Given the price point of Tsala it did leave a slight bitter taste in the mouth unfortunately. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to visiting again.

Tranquil and elegant
Nestled in tree tops, nothing but tranquility and elegance surrounds you at Tsala Lodge. It was a great place to do day trips, and return for a relaxing and lovely meal. The staff was extremely helpful, particularly Karin who helped sort out our outings. This is a definite return place for us:)

Place where you can be one with nature.
It is just a brilliant place to stay. Away from all the hustle and bustle of city and not too far from it either. You need to be there to experience the difference. Most helpful management team I have ever come across.

Beautiful Hotel in a Wonderful Setting
Tsala was a breathe of fresh air on our honeymoon - the hotel is beautiful, set in a gorgeous, temperate forest setting, with the rooms overlooking a forested ravine. The staff are very friendly, the meals are delicious and the rooms are so luxurious - the best bath I think I've ever had!! We've recommended this hotel to our parents and would happily stay again ourselves.

Incredible place but not sure it’s value for cost
Had a good time. Room was good and staff friendly. But felt it’s not worth the price - ie for this level could have added something extra .

Perfect hotel
We arrived early and were welcomed like old friends by Karin the manager. She recommended a local winery for a lunch which was also excellent. Dinner at Treetops was well received and wait staff exceeded expectations. Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely rooms overlooking the treetops
Lovely setting and rooms are quite far apart and so very private. Rooms very luxurious and very comfortable beds. Food in Zinzi restaurant was delicious and all staff very friendly and accomodating

It was fabulous!
Our stay was amazing. We walked with a cheetah and some elephants in rehabilitation centres close by. Birds of Eden bird sanctuary is also worth the visit! The view from the room was great and although cold, the private infinity plunge pool overlooking the canopy was worthy the dip.

Great stay in the treetops!
Such an incredible place to stay. The rooms are amazing, so different to anything we've ever stayed in before. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The food at both hunters lodge and zinzi was beautiful!! We had a lovely waitress in zinzi as well.

Expectations were high as this is the most we've ever spent on accommodation. We were not disappointed! Pure luxury from start to finish. Drank the complementary port in the plunge pool. Ordered bubbly and had it in the deep bath tub. Enjoyed room service of cheese, chocolate desert and red wine in front of the fire. In the morning breakfast was delicious with little monkeys outside providing great entertainment. A bag with water and biscuits was a nice surprise on checkout.

I have wanted to stay here for the past 10 years, ever since my first trip to Cape Town, and was not disappointed. The place is amazing and everything was fantastic. The rooms are exquisite with lovely bedrooms, exquisite bathrooms and baths and a lovely wood burning furnace which was a God send on the coldish night we stayed. Our welcome was warm and courteous even though we arrived very late and in the rain. Many thanks to the Chef and restaurant staff for a lovely meal. Top stay at the top of the trees!
My partner and I stayed here for one night and we could not have received a warmer welcome! The rooms are fantastic and the food served in the hotel restaurant is up there with the very best we had anywhere in South Africa. Only regret was not staying another night.

We were looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate - Tsala was PERFECT. The suites are impressive with lots of space and wonderful appointments. Great privacy and comfort - staff was top notch in every way - highly recommend for a couples retreat!

Sheer Luxury!
Just an absolutely gorgeous property with 5-star service! Our room was stunningly beautiful and the views were exceptional. We enjoyed a delicious gourmet dinner on the property at Zinzi restaurant. And had a wonderful breakfast in the lovely main lodge. A superior experience all around!

Exceptional Service
It was a wonderful stay. From when we arrived until we departed the service was exceptional. The villa we stayed in was superb. It has a fantastic outlook over the Knysna forest. It is quite and very enjoyable which meant that we could relax. We will recommend it to anyone as we are sure they will have a good time.

The staff are fantastic. The location was amazing. The attention to detail in our rooms was extraordinary. We were treated like VIPs. The room was beautifully decorated and felt like a home rather than a hotel. Upon check out guest are handed cookies and water for our drive.
