"Convenient location to Universal "

"My wife and I stayed in the "romantic room" with the jetted tub, for our anniversary. Great price alot less then any other jetted tub room i priced. I did not see that they had payed parking only($15 a day). Still cheaper. Alot of good eats close, walking distance. Shopping too. Good stay, only negative was my wife had a bad fall when she slipped entering the shower the morning we were checking out."

"The room was ok it was just dirty. The beds were clean but the floors, lamps shower were dirty. You can tell they only do the minimum as far as cleaning. The tv didn’t work, turning on the shower was insane you have to pull very hard towards you for one knob to get it on and then the other knob as well to control the temperature. The area was ok we felt safe and slept well. The beds were comfy but the base of the bed was squeaky. It was very close to universal studios which was great. Over all the hotel was ok if it was clean I would have no complaints. It was affordable and close to universal so it was worth it."

"We stayed in this area strictly to go to universal. I read all the reviews and decided to save a few dollars and stay a little further from the park here. Well needless to say I wish I would have just stayed at one of the closer to universal hotels. We got a family room at the garland. Which wasn’t very well described on the websites. It is a little nook with bunk beds and no door. Not very useful for getting kids to bed earlier and having a dark separate space for them. There was also no night light or natural way for them to have a light if they got up at night. The staff kept coming into our room while we were gone. Parking was also $50/night which I also don’t feel like was well advertised. They’d pick up towels and always close the blinds. It kind of caught us off guard that they were in our space so much but not really an issue I guess. The bathroom had a frosted glass sliding door and was right at the head of one side of the main bed. Odd. Definitely woke that person up anytime someone used it. All in all just a bit of a disappointment. The room was still very expensive despite all of this (~$400usd/night with taxes and fees and parking). For that price I am wishing I had stayed at the Hilton or Sheraton right at the park."

"No breakfast of any kind. Just coffee. Don’t all Best Western have some kind of breakfast???"

"Ice machine and in-room fridge work. Bathroom all work and clean. Bedding clean and mattress comfortable. AC work. Internet work. Love the wall large spa and shampoo/conditioner. Breakfast was adequate. Love the fresh waffles option and has apple and oranges and eggs Pool and jacuzzi work but jacuzzi foamed up like a foam bath. Has pool towels and good pool loungers. -The drive to the hotel in the middle of the night was scary isolated and remote feeling."

"Amazing last minute deal on this hotel through Expedia. $140 plus tax for a suite -- full living room, sink/fridge/microwave kitchen area, large clean bathroom, large king size bedroom. I only ate one meal there and it was great -- large-portion breakfast freshly cooked and delivered hot. Nice downtown location with complimentary airport shuttle. There seemed to be a dining district within easy walking distance, which I simply didn't have time to explore. Very satisfied. My only nitpick is no beverage vending machines. Contrast that with what I write above as well as the fact that there is a coin-operated laundry room."
