"Perfectly nestled in the wooded mountains. Totally secluded, with no other visible houses, even in the winter. The layout and decor feels very modern, but comfortable; with a ski theme throughout. The kitchen is well equipped. This would be a perfect rental for a ski/snowboard trip as there’s plenty of room for gear and a great basement entrance to take your boots off. The hot tub seemed very well maintained and was ready upon our arrival. The star gazing from the tub was superb!"

"This cabin was amazing, homey, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved the little nook, the projector, and the kitchen setup. Everything was super clean, and it was the perfect treat for my partner’s birthday.We also got really lucky with the winter weather so it wasn’t too crazy at all, which made the whole trip even better. There were plenty of nice activities around town, and we enjoyed every moment.We especially loved the fireplace, hot tub, and all the thoughtful touches throughout the cabin. We felt very welcomed and would definitely come back for a second stay!"

"What a wonderful Vermont retreat this has been. It really can’t get any better than this. The Birch Barn is more than just beautiful—it’s clearly a labor of love, with thoughtful details at every turn that make the space feel both luxurious and wonderfully welcoming. It was incredibly peaceful to slow down here, to sit with a cup of tea on the deck in the morning surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves. The hot tub felt like a nightly sanctuary to star gaze and unwind after a long day of exploring. Inside, the living room is so perfectly cozy—soft lighting, comfortable seating, a big screen projector and surround sound. We enjoyed many movie nights accompanied by yummy snacks from Ben & Jerry and Cabot Creamery. The bedrooms were a treat too with great views of the outside, we especially enjoyed the heated bathroom floors. The kitchen was well-equipped, full of spices and anything you would need to make some delicious meals. It’s clear Jeff and Ronnie put a lot of heart into making sure guests feel pampered and at ease, and our visit was all the richer for it.Thank you for sharing this special Vermont retreat with us. We’re truly grateful for the restful, rejuvenating time here and can’t wait to return. We’re already imagining our next stay at The Birch Barn!"

"What a lovely month at the Property. Jay was the best host. He built a special place we will most certainly be back in winter and summer.We enjoyed the long views of the Vermont mountains and the immediate area around Rochester, VT. The house sits on a vista looking South and West. We would walk every morning next to the cows who would graze on the landscape. The town had Rochester Cafe for breakfast and lunch and Maple Soul was the perfect dinner spot. You can also drive 25 minutes to American Flatbread and several other towns to the north and south. Highly recommend. House was clean and the property manager came weekly without a noise to pick up any trash out of the garage. Beds were comfortable along with the master steam shower and cast iron tub. "

"Our stay at this cozy cabin was just what we needed. Ample room, comfortable beds, clean linens and a superb property in a quiet neighbourhood, our kids enjoyed the yard full of snow and their bunking “nook” upstairs. We loved the time together and enjoyed the amenities offered. The owners were always quick to respond. We recommend for a quiet weekend away. "
