"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful views of ocean and mountains. Open feeling yet still cozy. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Surrounding lawn perfect for kids to play and creates natural protection for bare feet on the way to adjacent beach. Close enough to town to walk but still has local neighborhood feel."

"We enjoyed our stay at this house, conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, a grocery store, shave ice, and restaurants. The home was comfortable, the beds were comfortable, the AC worked well, and the backyard was beautiful. The property is a bit more worn than it appears in the photos, especially the outdoor amenities. Also, although the listing says this is a beachfront property, it is not on the beach. There is another home and a road between this home and the beach. There were several unhoused people using the beach while we were there, so we didn't play on the beach with our kid as expected. This was a good home base for visiting Waimea Canyon, and we appreciated that the vibe wasn't as busy or touristy as the other towns we visited."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Hanalei Plantation was accurately described in its listing, and the location was hard to beat. It accommodated our family of six adults very comfortably. The property was clean, but felt weathered overall. I would recommend this property, with a few caveats. It felt like a classic beach cottage in many ways. However there were holes in many of the window screens, so mosquitoes were able to enter freely. Nearby Hanalei and the end of the road beaches were all wonderfully accessible from this house. We would happily return to this home (if the screens were repaired)!"

"Quarter mile walk to the beach (eastern side of the main beach). Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and BBQing. We picked up charcoal at the local store to BBQ. Lots of fans to keep the main area and kitchen cool. The ACs in the bedrooms were nice for sleeping. Super fun open layout of the kitchen and living room. Coffee maker was available with filters. Had some frying pan spray, salt, pepper in addition to the cooking and baking items.One of the best aspects was the backyard outdoor shower. So amazing to take a hot shower outside in Hanalei, especially fun when it was raining outside.Check in and out process was easy. Great location for the cost (not on the water but super close, walking distance).Would stay there again in the future!"

"Staying at this property is a dream! Wonderful amenities, location and access to activities. The house is gorgeous and a very relaxing. There are a few details worth mentioning: to walk into town it's quite a hike in the hot sun, it's easier to ride one of the provided bikes. The house is situated along a busy road, so take care when biking. Also note the bed mattresses are extremely firm, in case that matters to you. We would go back there a hundred times over!"
