"We had a 3 days visit in Villa Lara! It was perfect for us, the owner Dino was a super host and upgraded us to a better room with a terrace, had fresh new baked croissants every morning and also made us cappuchini. We also got a bucket with ice when we brought home some cava. The rooms had a very good standard and was cleaned every day! It was a 400m walk down to a beautiful rock beach, with a grear pool club called coco club. Dino also offereras us to borrow his bicycles for free and gave so...

"We had a wonderful stay at Antico Mondo. It is a charming place very well located in old town. Rooms are very comfortable Emio was a great host very kind and always ready to help in everything you could need Breakfast is good, coffee delicious I just would ask for a natural orange juice! Dont hesitate.. it is a charming place where you can walk everywhere in Polignano a Mare"

"great hotel located in centro storico, easy to walk to many locations including Lama Monachile. Great central spot to stay but would just mention that if you drive the parking is an easy 9-10 minute walk with a mix of flat and cobble stone type sidewalks and with only a small up hill. The parking is super easy and costs 25 Euro daily (so just fyi). The hotel rooms themselves are like small apartment units , they are very spacious and have everything you need. The main reception is located in one area while the rooms are spread out across the old town, which is pretty cool but again does require being a bit mobile with your bags so just pack light so you’re not lugging a giant suitcase around. AC works great for these hot summer months. The Restaurant associated with the hotel is soo good so def recommend giving it a try and do the tasting menu!"

"The resort is nice and has a lot of amenities. The property is located further outside of town than I expected though. And I would highly recommend having a vehicle if you stay at this property as transportation is very expensive in this area. They do have a free shuttle but it only goes to the closest town and doesn’t run late. If you plan to swim in the sea you must be able to climb down a ladder to get in/out of the water so if you have any mobility issues or are elderly, this could be difficult."

"Overall it was a pretty good hotel. We were very disappointed with our welcome where we were not offered a cold drink (it was very hot and we had driven from Matera!) At a 5 star hotel, we are used to be be invited to sit in the lounge to go through all the your hotel amenities and location of the swimming pool, dining room etc. This did not happen. We did all this standing at reception. I did speak to a lady about this but received no come back! All other staff were excellent. Fabio by the pool was exceptional. Breakfast was a bit chaotic some mornings. Not sure of the reason! Waiting 20mins for a coffee to be made was frustrating. Overall it was a good stay but felt the 5 star rating was tarnished by a lack of touch here and there."
