A small boutique hotel in a beautiful old building. We had a large room with a small balcony overlooking an attractive but quiet square. The breakfast was generous and of good quality. The hotel is a very short walk to the centre of town and an ideal base for a short visit. Very glad we chose to stay there again at the end of our island hopping trip.
Our second visit and it reconfirmed our opinion that this is an excellent boutique hotel in a beautiful building, huge spacious room and modern bathroom
Hotel sits on a large quiet square.
Our flight from Terceira was delayed by 11 hours and we finally arrived at 00.30hrs to be met by the ever cheerful owner.
There is a
Lively upstairs sitting room with views over the square
Generous breakfast with high quality food
We will stay here again
Breakfast was included. It was a mix of cold items and warm items. Everything was fresh and delicious. The hotel was always clean and smelt amazing! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking is right outside for .60€/hr I don’t think I paid more then 3€ a day due to being out and about plus after 8pm it’s free until 8am.
An amazing stay! Service and staff were absolutely amazing, room was clean and the free breakfast was delicious. The building itself was beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning on staying in the Azores.
Great location and friendly helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Sitting areas inside and out with very pretty garden and original features inside.
Minutes from many nice restaurants and all of the tourist attractions of Ponta Delgada.
Beautiful building, well kept & very clean. Great breakfast area & breakfast - plus a large well furnished sitting room with lots of antique furniture. Close to a couple of restaurants and convenience store.
The property has old world charm with tastefully updated bathroom facilities.
The room was not large but had a lovely balcony overlooking the square. [Note: Not all rooms have this feature].
Breakfast options are tastefully curated to serve a variety of preferences.
Well located in the center of town where many tour groups gather.
The building is difficult to find so be sure to schedule your arrival with the property owners to get clear instructions before arriving.
Stayed here for two nights. Great stay. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms are very comfortable. Area around. The hotel is perfect for walking. We’ll stay here again.
Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good everyday. Eggs, ham, bacon and delicious cheese. Good coffee and juice.
Some rooms were quite small but adequate. We moved to a larger room mid week with no problem. It was nice to be in a more traditional old house. Very central to everything. We had no issues with parking in front of the hotel. Graca who was there everyday was lovely. The owner was very responsive to messages on what's app. Would highly recommend.
The hotel is a renovated historic structure. Very beautiful. Expect small rooms ( only 5 in total) and tiny bathrooms. Small hiccup with hot water was addressed in one day. Very small and intimate breakfast area that was very quiet and distinctly different than what you get in large hotels. If you like quiet this is the place.
Awesome little boutique hotel built into what looks like a former chapel. Great location in the heart of the City Centre. Within walking distance to everything. Breakfast was very good..
In addition to the fact that hotel is gorgeous what made it even more pleasant was thar there is a really friendly dog there. Named Maria! Which stays outside of course. Recommended.
Casa do Campo de São Francisco is a perfect place to stay in Ponta Delgada. It's location is excellent; close to many restaurants, shopping and the waterfront and a convenient starting point for exploring the island. The hotel is an historic buidling and is beautifully decorated. The rooms are very large with comfortable beds and a sitting area. The breakfast is excellent and cooked by the hotel's friendly host and served in the beautiful dining/ sitting room overlooking the garden.
Parking is right in front of the hotel and free after 7pm until 8am (60 cent euro/ hour otherwise).
We loved our 4 night stay in this beautiful and unique 5 room hotel. We highly recommend!!
Very nice place to stay in a unique, old building that was a part of a church. The rooms and bathrooms are newly renovated. It is close to everything and very walkable location. Taxi is 10 Euro from the airport. There is a pleasant park in front to sit out and have a beverage. Good breakfast.
And most of all Philippe is the best at the front, very kind and helpful. If I may come back I definitely stay here again.
Stayed during low season early March, very pleased with our stay. Tasty breakfast, eggs cooked to order, fruits, ham, prosciutto, salami, cheeses, coffee freshly made, Keurig, teas, you can lace your beverage with Porto (fortified Portuguese wine). David, the manager, was very kind, always ready to please, let us check out later, let our luggage in the room. That was great.
Our stay began with an incredibly friendly and welcoming David offering us an early check-in and breakfast (we were exhausted from the flight/ time change so this was awesome!!)
The building has very interesting history and details throughout the building. David and the staff made our stay memorable and so comfortable.
We highly recommend this property for your trip. FYI: paid parking (coins only!) is readily available across the property and free Sundays. Thank David and team!
Sincerely,

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The unique atmosphere of living in the really old, authentic monastery-like place, but with the best smell ever, modern bathrooms, most comfortable bed and crispiest bedding I’ve ever had among multiple hotels on my very long trip around several countries. It’s on the big plaza, close to main cathedral (if you don’t mind bells), fort, now military museum, waterfront, small eating places, and might be important to those who want to rent a car, it is right next door to it.
Breakfast is more than adequate, comfortable common area with couches, chairs, fireplace (can’t guarantee not for decor only), but overall the place has a feeling of boutique house, not real hotel. Only 5 rooms, 2 upstairs with no elevator though, and have to check in online with the approximate time of arrival, as the front door is locked and stuff member is not always inside to open as there’s no so-to-speak front desk. That’s the only inconvenience imho, but adds to the feeling of the real home. Very-very impressed and would highly recommend for certain type of tourists who don’t like big chain hotels.
