"What a lovely house! Perfectly placed and we loved waking up to the views! There was everything we needed in the house for a relaxed and comfortable stay - including a well stocked “welcome basket” which was lovely to arrive to after a long journey. Even though we were only able to stay for just the 3 nights - we managed to fit quite a lot in - but want to do so much more so we will just have to come back again."

"I stayed here for 1 night with my husband on my birthday. The staff were excellent, expecially Neil the lifeguard in the pool. Disappointing that the sauna was out of order and the gym very small but Neil arranged for us to go to the Haven the next morning to use their pool, gym, steam room and sauna. We had a lovely room with a super king bed and great sea view. The breakfast was good and the dinner excellent."

"Have stayed at The Anchorage a few times, Love the check in system because I'm not worried about timing. Location is perfect - right on the quay close to everything including a nice cafe to get breakfast. I Probably will be staying there again"

"This was only a one night stay but it was great - good room with quiet air conditioning, helpful staff at 11.00 p.m. check-in, and well cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"Great location just a short walk to the sea and prom. Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was large and very comfortable, even used the bath! We did eat in the restaurant and the food was very good, just like the breakfasts."

"OK room - no air con but understandable give the age of the building. Bed was OK, but traffic noise is noticeable, especially with the window open (remember there is no air con), so not the best nights' sleep. Staff were fantastic though, especially the breakfast server and the breakfast itself was great."
