Not much has changed. Maybe a little quieter in the hotel but the hotel facilities are excellent and with sunny weather a little extra paid for a balcony room overseeing Shell Bay was good value."
"I would gladly stay at the Antelope again, but not in the summer heat. The rooms do not get good airflow and they are HOT. Thankfully the staff gave us a fan. Otherwise, the rooms are smallish but not uncomfortably small, and the bathroom was roomy. Everything was clean and working properly. As we are American we appreciated the shower curtain! We absolutely loved the restaurant and bar— great food, drinks, ambiance and staff."
"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."
"We had everything we needed - and more if you've forgotten anything - for our short stay. Lovely, spotless room (church view) just like the pictures, with gated parking. Apart from being a pleasant host, Jenny provided excellent, easy to follow check in information and details of places to eat and drink, which were all very close by."
