Dorset has something for everyone. Close to the property, you will find Lytchett Matravers with local shops, pubs and restaurants. Further afield is the famous Dorset Jurassic Coastline. You will need more than a day to explore places like Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis and are all worth the visit. From award winning beaches to attractions such as boat trips and water sports the whole family will enjoy themselves. Poole Harbour is approx. 15-minute drive from Holly Hedge Farm which lays claim to the title of the second largest natural harbour in the world after Port Jackson, Sydney, this is a place of natural beauty with trips running daily to the famous Brownsea Island. Keep the eyes peeled for a red squirrel. For the golfer among us Bulbury Woods Golf Club is approximately 1-minute drive from the property where you will find a tree lined course for all abilities to enjoy. Back to the property is where to make more memories around the wood burner and outside enjoying the end of the summer sun. Beach 7 miles. Pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Lovely place

In a beautiful location with a lovely outlook. We were made to feel very welcome by both Helen and the owners. Unfortunately we had to cut short due to medical reasons, but our family remained throughout, and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. I have already spoken with Helen about my concerns ref. the shower facilities, which were pretty much non existent upstairs, and barely adequate downstairs as well. When updated, they will very much add to the overall experience and make it into 5* accommodation. The plug sockets in the far bedroom are hard to reach, and were obviously fitted with the intention of the bed being at the other end of the room. The upstairs toilet door would not lock. Helen thanked me for my honesty and I felt I had been listened to. Overall, a very nice stay, but unfortunately cut short. Perhaps if the owners actually tried living in the units themselves during a period of vacancy, they would appreciate my concerns, and very quickly realize any shortcomings.

Stayed late June 2024.What a lovely tranquil place Purbeck View was to use as a base. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. The hosts Julie and Mark have tried to think of everything you'd need for a stay. We were a three generation group of four, travelling in one car so there wasn't much room for any extras. The kitchen had everything you'd need, from pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, to the big stuff like microwave and washing machine (tucked away in a cupboard in the downstairs bathroom). They even provide a wash basket and clothes pegs.The beds were made up and there was plenty of draws and wardrobe space, with hangers in each. There were sufficient electric points throughout and the WiFi was fine, although it didn't always reach the double bedroom. If you've not been to the area before Julie and Mark will even give you recommendations about  where to go in the area for a day trip or meal out.And can't leave out a comment about the lovely donkeys, Bubbles and Mickey, who gave us some laughs as they played with a ball or gave Julie the run around if they weren't in the mood for their daily brush. Also enjoyed the birdsong and a visit from the little deer who occasionally wandered into the paddock.
