"The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. Unfortunately there is no easy transportation from the top of the funicular to the hotel. It was a strain to walk up hill 200 meters on a narrow brick street lugging two large bags. Taxis are unreliable or just not available"

"Excellent stay outside of Orvieto (about 15 min drive from the village). The pool was awesome. The room was large and beautifully decorated and air conditioned. It was very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend for a quiet stay outside of the village."

"It’s difficult to say if it was a hotel issue or just being in Europe. Water pressure for shower was only available in the morning. And refrigerator was set really warm. Otherwise great staff and fantastic breakfast."

A Stunning Property with Private Pool Tucked into the Umbrian Countryside

"Wonderfully peaceful rural location, completely secluded and surrounded by woodland and farmland. Beautifully maintained gardens and pool. The property has been restored, furnished and decorated with great care and feels more like a well-loved country home than simply a holiday cottage. Great communications with owner Susan and the on-site team (thanks to Emanuela for all her help) before and during our stay.No air conditioning in the main house but during our stay temperatures were pushing 40C and we were able or keep cool by managing windows and shutters as advised. (The separate pool house does have air conditioning.)Wifi worked through the property (pretty much no mobile signal though).Despite the rural location we were not troubled by insects/mosquitos either inside or outside. In any case, there are screens on windows and doors which allow for good ventilation without insect ingress.Best holiday home we have ever visited."
