We are located in the best area of Port Charlotte, in a quiet neighborhood yet we are close to everything. Within 1 mile there are so many stores there is no way to name them all. There is a 16 screen movie theater, indoor mall, several grocery stores, numerous clothing stores and too many restaurants to even count. We have pretty much every type of ethnic food you could want. Mexican, Asian, Italian, European, Indian, Vietnamese and of course a ton of burger and pizza places.

All the amenities of home, internet (with wi-fi through out the house and lanai), flat screen TV with Roku for streaming your favorite movies and TV shows along with You-Tube TV for network and regular program viewing., master suite with private bath and large walk in shower, new extremely comfortable Posturepedic mattresses (we have been told many times by guests that it was the most comfortable bed they had slept on), all new stainless appliances and front load, quiet washer and dryer located just off the kitchen. With an attached garage to park your car in out of the weather.

The interior is a cozy coastal cottage feel, with carpet under foot in each bed room. A brand new designer kitchen, with quartz counters and self-closing cabinets. All the kitchen appliances are new stainless steel within the last 4 years. The home has a large screened in heated private pool (newly refurbished pool and patio) with comfortable seating for 6 and an outside dining area for 6. There are several sitting areas at the water’s edge. There are two chairs and a small table on a large cement dock to fish or just enjoy the water and nature, a lower wood dock also provides seating and a table for two. Above that on the lawn, nestled in the palm trees is a wood swing that overlooks the water. All three of these areas are perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, evening glass of wine, reading a book or just relaxing with nature. There are many different birds that visit the yard daily. Egrets, Ibis, Herons and even a couple Wood Storks.

We stock the house with everything you may need: All paper products, dish soap, hand soap, laundry soap etc. there should be plenty to get you through your first week. We also provide: large bath towels, beach towels, sheets, and dish clothes. Other amenities include, beach chairs, coolers, beach cart and umbrella, hair dryer, printer (for lap top etc.), lots of board games and a small collection of books. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need for cooking, baking or grilling: microwave, toaster, crock pot, blender, coffee maker and even an electric tea pot. We try to keep stocked a good supply of spices, sugar etc. Who wants to buy an entire container of parsley when you only need a couple teaspoons?

There is an instruction book on the table in the living room, with all the information you may need for a great stay. You will find information on the appliances, accessing the internet, trash pickup schedule and area attractions, among other things in the book. We strive for the best staff we can find to help us keep Idle Days in tip top shape. We have been lucky to find two great ladies that make sure the entire house is up to our high standards, before your arrival. They clean top to bottom with special attention to cleaning and disinfection of high touch surfaces, such as door handles, faucets, toilet handle, TV remote etc. We also have a top notch lawn and pool crew.

The Tampa Bay Rays training facility is just down the road about 2-1/2 miles, on the way to all the best white sand beaches of Engelwood, Venice and Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island. There are numerous golf courses in the area plus other attractions including Bush Gardens in Tampa, Fisherman's village in Punta Gorda which is a few minutes to the south and if you like antiquing, check out Arcadia to the east.
