The home was beautiful and nicely decorated. However, the management company is the one who failed us. They state that they maintain pest control, maintenance, and cleanliness. The master bath had active termites that were on the wall, floor, and shower. We saw a few out into the bedroom. We didn’t like that but I could buy bug spray. Day 2 our smoke alarm didn’t chirp but sounded repeatedly. I called the management company and a maintenance guy came by and brought batteries but didn’t install them. He told my husband where the ladder was located. There was also a non-skid carpet strip missing from one stair. My daughter in law fell down 4 steps onto her back. Oddly enough, the maintenance man slid on the stairs but didn’t fall. I still didn’t call maintenance back. The 3rd day the smoke alarm continued to sound unless the door was open. Our A/c also broke. I called the management company and explained that we had paid a good bit of money to rent the house and about all of the problems we had. They sent maintenance and he replaced the smoke alarm but couldn’t fix the air. After dinner I contacted them again about the ETA and requested a clean cool unit. Management said they would check on the ETA of the repairman and keep me updated via text. That was 10:30pm. At 12:20am I had not received any info. A repairman did come at some point because it was working when we woke up at 6am. I asked for the info to file a formal complaint but have not heard anything at this point.
