"The location of this rental is great, with lots of shops, restaurants,and the beach within walking distance. However we had significant issues and concerns over this rental. The largest was we were unable to get into the apartment with the key thatwas left for us. A neighbor attempted to help us as well and they wereunsuccessful and commented that "they probably left the wrong keyagain." We contacted the host and they arrived after 2 hours and theywere unable to open the door with the key...

"Hotel was lovely & the staff were very friendly & helpful . Both the terrace bar & the back bar/restaurant were nice places to be. My only criticism was that I had a staff member with a noisy carpet cleaning machine outside my door at 08:30 one morning and a staff member vacuuming outside my door at 08:00 another day."

"I ended up staying here only one night out of my three nights booked. I will start with the positives: the hotel is generously sized and absolutely in keeping with what North Americans would expect of a hotel: large lobby, large reception area/desk, extremely generously sized bedrooms. I think this hotel is a wonderful idea for families who would like to share the generously sized bedrooms. Breakfast was absolutely phenomenal. The buffet was plentiful and varied. Probably the best I've had in Porto. The downside for me was how far it is from the central tourist part of Porto. My understanding when I had booked was that the hotel was 2 to 3 km outside of the city center. And I thought to myself that it would be possible to cover that distance either by walking or with an Uber ride. However, the hotel is incredibly far from Porto Central. Ubers are hard to come by and you wait at least 15 minutes for them to pick you up, on top of the 10 minutes the app spends trying to find a driver. Depending on the time (ie day time), it may also take half an hour of sitting in traffic to get to Porto. Based on that, I opted to check out and go to downtown Porto. So if your priority is to have quick access to the sites and sounds as a tourist, this hotel would not be a suitable option. If that is not your priority, this hotel is a fantastic option. I also found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating."

"Great hotel with a beautiful reception area. Staff went out of there way to upgrade our room for us as I had become ill when traveling. Parking is free and easy access if traveling with a car and the train station is a short walk down the road although we found using uber was about the same price to get into city. Highly recommend hotel especially as driving into Porto is a nightmare."
