"We had problems with our train journey and eventually decided to make an unplanned stay somewhere near Paola station overnight and try again the next day. The nearest place we could find was Hotel Cliche so we just booked it... and we can't believe how lucky we were! The staff here were the most genuinely friendly and helpful people you could possibly hope for. They arranged to collect us from the station and when we got to the hotel we enjoyed a really relaxing evening having pizza and a drink in their restaurant / bar area. The atmosphere was really chilled with some locals at the bar too and we soon forgot our train woes. The room was great and we had a very comfortable and quiet night followed by plentiful breakfast the next day. The hotel then arranged a taxi for us back to the station and we continued on our way. THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone at Hotel Cliche for such a warm welcome and all your help. You turned a difficult day into a very enjoyable and memorable part of our Italian holiday!"

"I did a 28 night backpacking trip through Europe & had the privilege of staying here for 2 of those nights. If I could’ve cancelled the rest of my trip & stayed here the whole time, I would’ve. It was the mostly beautiful & authentic italian experience. Maria Theresa was an excellent host - she is always available to help, made sure checks-in was easy & made my stay unforgettable. There is also a beautiful restaurant right around the corner that serves the most amazing italian food. It is delicious. & you even get to have Maria Theresa as your server. Stay here if you have the opportunity. Do not pass it up."

"Hotel and staff were wonderful. Easy check in and check out. Great location. Room and bathroom great and clean and all other areas in the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Loved having the slippers too. Only complaint would be that wifi was not very good but would stay again. Thank you."

"The villa is beautiful but the bedrooms without ac were a bit hot, although the host provided a fan in each room. They provided enough towels for us, even the pool towels.The kitchen is well equipped.The beds are comfortable.Location is good but you must have a car. The only thing I like to say is that the the kitchen utensils need to be checked after each rent to see if the things in the cupboards are clean. The billard table and the table soccer is a bonus when you are a big family. The pool and the pool area are beautiful. We were 12 adults and 4 kids and we had enough room for all of us. We really enjoyed it, tnks."

"The reception staff spoke little English. Swimming pool was not in use, which was both a surprise and a disappointment. Bar staff were a bit better, and tried hard to please. Parking was adjacent and reasonable, but there was no shade in 36+ degrees of heat. There was an Italian "Saga event with overly loud karioke each night unitl midnight. The hotel did not put those "enjoying" this on the affected side of the hotel, but many were disturbed, which was an issue as we had to be up early. Buffet breakfast was underwhelming"
