I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the staff, they were all tremendous. Great location overlooking the River. Rooms very clean, small but very well designed to optimize space. Breakfast amazing. Variety of beautiful fresh fruit, pastries, juice, eggs to order.

Guest House Duoro is a very nice place to stay and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Its proximity to the river and numerous restaurants was also a real plus. Breakfast was terrific too. My only nit pick critique is that it would have been nice to have a couple of glasses in the bathroom to make it easier to brush your teeth and rinse.

Desk clerk couldn’t have been more helpful. Showed us an excellent wine bar just around the corner and arranged early morning transport to airport. Room was tiny but immaculate and worked well. Highly recommended.

What a lovely experience! We only stayed on night in Porto, but this property was outstanding! Such friendly and incredible staff, and they brought up our breakfast in the morning. It was so lovely to have breakfast and watch Porto wake up. Night was lively outside the windows- just what we wanted! I highly recommend this hotel, we will be coming back.

The staff, breakfast and location made this a top rating for us. Breakfast was the best we’ve had on our trip - so much beautiful fresh fruit and juices, cooked to order eggs, breads and pastries …. Luís at the front was so helpful, providing us with his personal walking map of the city. He provided restaurant recommendations, helped with transportation and called the restaurant to let them know we were going to be late. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff

We had an amazing time here! The hotel and rooms are very cozy and the staff are all amazing! The location is on the waterfront and we could walk (comfortably) to everything we wanted to see and do. Do be aware though if you or anyone in your party has mobility issues that Porto is very hilly and that most things will be an upwards walk from the hotel. The breakfast area was really nice and attentive staff look after you. I would definitely stay here when we come back too Porto.

Best hotel House Douro

One of the best hotels we ever stayed. Our room was not large but it was comfortable and we had enough space to put our stuff. The service was impeccable the people that work at this hotel could not be friendlier. They help us with dinner suggestions, buying bus tickets, tourist attractions. They served us delicious breakfast that was freshly prepared every morning. We had the best view of the Douro River. I would stay there again!
