Excellent location, super hotel and friendly staff

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, it was particularly nice to meet Rodney who spoke perfect English and introduced us to some wonderful new drinks while we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located overlooking the beach and so as you fall asleep you can listen to the waves. It’s a perfect base for exploring some of the adjacent islands and trips to Porto Flavia. We had such a good time, we forgot to take shots of the room, but the best thing is the photos on the website are representative of the hotel. Go on… book it!

Small lovely hotel on the sea

The hotel is small and nice with 9 rooms. Our room has a nice view of the sea and the bathroom was big and had a lovely view. The staff were nice and helpful.

All the staff and their service were excellent, especially Rodney and Frederika. The hotel is in a wonderful location, however our room 007, although beautifully presented, was on a very public footpath which was disconcerting and the music noise from the bar next door went until after midnight. When we come next time we would prefer a room higher up and away from the noise. Thank you.

What a beautiful little gem!

We were two couples travelling Sardinia and La Ginghetta really exceeded our expectations. Wonderful rooms, very clean but above all amazing staff! Everyone were so friendly and service minded, from those working at front desk, cleaning, breakfast serving and sky bar. You made our stay so special and memorable- thank you. We hope to come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Relais La Ghinghetta! We wish we had stayed longer to really explore the local area and beaches right behind the property. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rodney and his wife that worked at the restaurant/bar upstairs made our stay even more enjoyable. The chef for breakfast was AMAZING and made the best lasagna I've had! And all her breakfast pastries were phenomenal. I had to restrain myself from eating everything. If we visit the area again, we would definitely stay here.

Fine hotel next to sea with very friendly staff

Well designed hotel. We had a very nice room with a beautiful seaview. Outstanding breakfast with homemade specialties on roof tetrace with magnificent view. Well managed with a most friendly and serviceminded staff. Nice city square round the corner. Small beach next to hotel and large beach within reach. Neighboring San Antioco with crypt/part of necropol under Basilica de Sant Antioco definitely worth visiting, ferry bosat trip to San Pietro also recommendable.

Little gem of a hotel tucked away in a beautiful corner of SW Sardinia. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room is spacious enough and modern, but with a local/maritime touch on the decor. Breakfast is excellent: you get the continental options + separate menu with items that are cooked for you by the virtuoso lady right there. Unfortunately, they closed their restaurant a few years ago but you can get light meals for lunch and dinner (for the latter, lasagna or melanzane parmigiano are to die for, home made by someone nearby). Sunsets from the roof terrace are beautiful, you can also sip cocktails as you watch, and chat away with Rodney (husband of the lady who cooks breakfast), who is fun company and always full of conversation. There is a small beach steps away, it does not belong to the hotel (Italian families come eagerly!) but you can ask for an umbrella at the reception (nothing is too much trouble for them, really!) Water is amazing, and you get both sandy and rocky part. For parking, they give you a resident permit for the duration of your stay, and you can park on any street nearby (we always found a place). Really happy with our stay, amazing memories, thank-you to all the staff!

This was one of my favourite stays of our trip. The hotel was immaculate, the scenery was amazing, there was a beach right off the property and another one close by with a short but lovely walk. The staff was very helpful with all of their recommendations and I felt so relaxed here overall. I can’t recommend this stay enough!

The property was lovely staff very friendly couldn’t do enough for us x Beautiful setting x would stay again x parking alittle tricky as no carpark x breakfast excellent cooked to order chef onsite x shame no restaurant as food was lovely bar offered excellent light meals x Rodney the server was exceptional and made our stay fabulous x pool alittle disappointing as was plunge pool so couldn’t swim but still managed to cool down x please be aware no lift x

Absolute gem

Location was excellent. Service was incredible. The staff was on point. Cleanest sea I’ve ever swam in. Food was amazing and drinks. Did I mention how beautiful the hotel and staff were! I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing hotel with access to the beach

Welcoming, elegant, modern hotel .Amazing view from deluxe room with a 2 balconies.Room space divided by a stairs, into cozy sleeping and relaxing areas. Bathroom good size with modern sanitary.Very clean.Easy access to the beach, umbrella and beach towels provided.Delicious food in the restaurant .Excellent service by waitress Mark. staff in all departments (reception, bar,house keeping)very professional. Fantastiskt fint hotell precis vid havet. Väldigt trevlig och service inriktad personal. Fin takbar med utsikt där vi kunde se solnedgången. Staden kanske inte är den roligaste med stora industrier men detta är en liten pärla till hotell. Enda minus var att det inte fanns parkering inom hotellet samt att sängarna var väldigt hårda.
