Absolutely terrible property and awful experience. Arrived to a dirty and unkempt house. Strong smell of gas in the kitchen. Ancient boiler with a sticker on it saying service due in 2004! Radiators on full blast and could not be turned off - no thermostatic valves. Mould on the ceiling and wall in one bedroom. Window fixings falling apart. Showers in the bathrooms were filthy. Towels and bed linen old and in poor condition. None of it ironed. Water from the kitchen tap only trickled out - started to fill a kettle and gave up. Walls dirty and in desperate need of cleaning and re-painting. A lamp fitting in the garden was hanging by its wires! The house is a safety hazard and there was no way that we could possibly stay there, particularly having a small child in our party. It is uninhabitable and there is no way anyone would choose to stay there if they saw it first. We had to try and find somewhere else to stay, with no notice. Fortunately we managed to find a vastly superior property at a much lower price than we were charged for this one. We requested a refund and were at first told that our concerns were important and that they would be investigated. Any company worth its salt would refund without hesitation. However, we’ve not heard anything for a week now and they appear to be ignoring our emails. We are therefore taking further action. Strongly advise people to keep away from this house and any company involved in letting it out. Absolute disgrace.
