"The hotel’s location is fair. If you want to go to the beach, it takes about a 15–20 minute walk. The breakfast is good, with a nice selection of food. The room and bed are comfortable, making the stay pleasant overall."

"The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent close to the harbour, beach, restaurants and shops. Breakfast selection is good but having to stand at a coffee machine in a queue for poor coffee did let breakfast down and it was very busy. I would stop again but wouldn’t book breakfast as I prefer a quite relaxed breakfast with nice coffee. "

"Lovely old hotel, which has been lovingly updated to this boutique hotel. Central location with an ambundance of restaurants nearby, only a few streets away from the marina also. Super room, much larger than expected (room1). Extremely comfortable bed. Windows overlooking the streets and it was nice to hear the hub hub, but it was quiet overnight. Nice touch of kettle and a fridge in room. Fridge was topped up daily with complimentary drinks. The roof terrace was not open as it required renovation. I would definitely recommend staying here. It beats the chain hotels hands down for charm, location and history. "

"Very clean and well presented room, housekeeping staff were helpful, didn’t interact with anyone else. Didn’t try any of the food. Hotel was very nice, shame about the boards of young teens there, they made a hell of a racket throughout the late evening. The hotel was in an amazing location, central to almost everything you could want. Free WiFi (although not the best signal). Would definitely stay here again!"

"We didn’t have breakfast So can’t comment on that Our rooms were cleaned daily/ beds were made and tea/coffees were replenished Very clean rooms The roof terrace was lovely to sit out too "

"The rooms were clean, but they didn't meet the standards described by the hotel on the Expedia website. They provided all the basics, but there were no slippers in the room, and the shower was broken. The staff wasn't very friendly; it seemed they didn't appreciate me pointing out the hotel's shortcomings, which definitely don't make it a 4-star hotel. The breakfast buffet is embarrassing; they don’t provide tongs for guests to pick up bread or other foods, so I had to use the tongs meant for the bacon or just my hands. The cheese and salami were hard, it looked like they’d been cut days ago. The croissant basket had six, and when they ran out, they didn’t restock it. Guests who arrived later for breakfast found almost nothing to eat, even though they charge for breakfast as a buffet. Expedia shouldn’t sell this hotel to its customers as a 4-star property; it doesn’t even qualify as a 1-star hotel. "

"Hotel was very clean, all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms spacious and well equipped, beds very comfortable. The level was lovely, good selection of drinks and snacks, breakfast was fresh with plenty choice. The level pool and sunbed area only gets sun till about 12am which is a pity. The other pool area is quite enclosed too so limited sun. There is a sunbathing area at the front which gets sun from mid day till sun set. "

"Location of the hotel can not be beaten. Gorgeous views across the Mediterranean. The breakfast is a good option but I would not recommend the half board as the menu is limited. Staff are very friendly and rooms are kept spotlessly clean. The only issue I had was with the Wi-Fi which is very patchy. This wouldn't be an issue but all of the televisions work through the Wi-Fi, so we had nothing for two days of our stay."

"The hotel was so centrally located we could walk everywhere. It was quiet and street noise was not an issue. I would highly recommend here if you are in Alicante"
