"This hotel is under refurbishment which was not highlighted at the time of making the booking The staff were amazing however the passable with no air conditioning. Close to city centre outside areas need some maintenance but it is a welcome space to sit and relax My room was on the 3rd floor and was spacious. Please be aware that rooms are not serviced daily (they say it is because they want to be greener - however no clean towels or replenished tea and coffee what not what I was expecting for the price charged). Parking is a premium as -they is plenty of space included with your booking. In summary this property needs a bit of work for the price they charge per stay"

"Extremely poor experience. The life was not working, when asked for water bottle to buy the receptionist said they run out of suppply She said the same when asked for complimentary Tooth brush and paste in the morning. Terrible breakfast, no boiled eggs, but the frozen ones. No bananas for breakfast, the toaster was damaged, I have seen the customers left with having burnt toast. They said it’s family friendly, but not at all. Paid around 170 per night, the price doesn’t justify with the poor service and inhospitable staff."

"Twin room there was no gap between the beds but this was fine for us. The heat and aircon was great silent and easy to use the sea view was lovely. The breakfast was high quality there was a faff with coffee which ought to be explicitly told to diners to save discomfort and embarrassment. One word of warning and it’s not about the hotel per se just the location -double check if there’s something going on in the leas there was a 2 day techno music festival all day Saturday and Sunday over the bank holiday which was appallingly noisy and killed any idea of relaxation over the bank holiday."

Like many hotels the food was excellent, the service was excellent the rooms are beautifully decorated and the simple things like having a decent shower or bar are so well catered for. What sets this apart is the vibe of the place, you can feel the history, You can feel the culture that has been created in the team, who really understand customer service. From my first interaction with Harry on reception prior to booking, to checking in and right through every interaction I felt the ten were looking after my wife and I."

"The spa is the only thing that saves this hotel as without it it would be a very poor hotel. Rooms are very dated, our bed was like a camp bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast in Sage took an hour to be served and it wasn’t even busy. Give staying guests at least the option to go get yoghurt and pastries etc. while they wait for the breakfast cooked meal, having to wait for everything to be served is really old hat these days. Most staff try their best, but you can see management decisions are having an impact on their day too as so many were complaining about wait times."
