"Breakfast daily was amazing. Huge variety of options and always a great start to the day. Location was perfect for us. It sits on a hiking trail with a beautiful beach (Albandeira). It’s small but private. Some days the water was rough but others it was fine to swim. Rooms were clean, small but had everything we needed. Our only wish is that staff were a little friendlier. Maybe I’m just used to friendly Canadian culture and this was noticeably different."

"I stayed in the junior suite and it was spacious and clean. The staff was very attentive, professional, and friendly. The hotel offers a variety of activities for adults, including water activities, as well as amenities for kids, such as a pool, babysitting services, and arcade games. The pool is nice and clean. My room had 1 patio door lock broken but I managed to prop a piece of luggage to block the door. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and the restaurants around there are very good. Overall a very good experience."

"Vilalara Grand Hotel Algarve was one of our favorite hotels we've stayed at. The hotel was very clean and the staff were so kind in all ways. It was my husbands birthday on the stay and they surprised him with champagne and dessert. Truly incredible service and beautiful place to stay while you are on vacation in Algarve."

"We very much enjoyed our 12 night stay. The property was basic and rustic but gave us everything we needed.Large pool, loungers, table, chairs and washing machine outside. Large kitchen with dishwasher very useful.Isobel cleaned and was lovely, although we had no idea when she or the pool guy were coming. Would have liked a heads-up.Lovely countryside area, view to the sea, and the area itself is stunning. We saw 2 shepherds with their dogs herding 100 or so Algarve Churra in the next lane - absolutely loved it.Great walks to the cliffs and down to some small beaches. Kayaking available nearby to visit the caves, around 40 euros per person for 2 hours.Although the villa was clean throughout, there were a lot of ornaments, some with thick dust on top. Mattresses are very firm, and the room with 2 single beds uncomfortable. There isn't aircon, so we had to ask for another fan. And the man across the road still has loud music playing, an hour or so each time, at least twice daily, and sometimes late into the night. The owner said he would have a word if it was a problem. Lot of noise from cockerels and dogs, but bearable.The wifi password taped to the wall is illegible - take a photo of underneath the router for the right password.No information pack - this would have been useful, particularly as there is a safe but no info on where it is. One of the bidets had no water, some light bulbs not working, front door difficult to lock/unlock.Overall loved it!"

"Lovely stay and they were generous with check in and check out times allowing us to have lunch before our later flight home. Lovely location only about an 8 minute walk from 2 lovely beaches one with boat rides available. There was plenty of food selection with different options every meal. The rooms were huge and consisted of a large kitchen area a big hallway a big bedroom, bathroom , living area and two balconies. Not sure whether every room is like this. The pool area has lots of sun loungers which do fill up but you’d have to bring your own parasol which they have holders for. Lovely stay and lovely helpful staff too!"

"I stayed there for 8 days. The food was disappointing because there was no sense of Portugal. What helped was different Themes every night, so could try some food of different countries. Due to additional restaurants or rooftop bar, before booking it is highly recommended to check the terms, I found out on arrival that I have only 1 Asian restaurant included that I can have a dinner once during my stay and no rooftop bar because my package is "only all inclusive". I tried this Asian restaurant one night and the food was really bad, I do not understand how they can call it an Asian restaurant. The snacks bar overall burger, hotdog, sandwich. The hotel entertainment, it was hard to understand what is going on, when and where. Some activities were not well organized and lacking of music during the day by the pools and entertainment in the evenings. The gym in the main block had no air conditioning working, it was +26C or over inside. The disco was a bit of joke, someone was just playing songs on the phone for an hour. The reception did not explain about the hotel and where to find everything and how everything works. There is QR code to scan about the hotel that is useless and info is blur. For 4 start hotel, there was no hair shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom, only a shower gel. The staff was nice apart from check in/out reception. Wifi does not work in the hotel, including tv in the room that was lagging."

"The room and the property was very clean and decorated so nicely. The location was excellent, just down the street from the beach. It was very easy to find as it had several signs leading the way. Barbara at reception was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that is included was amazing! There was everything anyone could ever want in a breakfast. Would definitely recommend Marsuites B&B!"
