"5/5 stars for the grounds and location. The outdoor areas were spectacular. We cooked / had dinner in the outdoor kitchen one night. The pool was clean and beautiful day and night. The outdoor showers were awesome. While it was too hot to play tennis, having the court is a great option. All very well kept. The view from the villa is insane. Worth it for the grounds.I will say the villa itself is a bit small and dated - especially the electrical and plumbing. For example, running all of the air conditioners and having the lights on at the same time caused a power outage (which we fixed by resetting the breaker). Also could not flush toilet paper. Not a problem, just somethings to be aware of when staying in an older home out in the mountains. With that being said, the AC worked well (important for us Americans in the summer), the property manager was responsive and helpful, and the villa had what we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a short drive to scopello (incl. tonnara di scopello which we highly recommend) and castelmarre del golfo. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you plan on using the outdoor amenities and want promiximity to nearby attractions. If you plan on being inside a lot, you might want something more updated / spacious."

Didn’t even have to ask for staff to clean our room when we were out for the day, it was just done when we got back that evening. The private parking lot was super helpful and it’s a 5 minute walk from the little town area. Amazing place!"

"Die Villa Poggio liegt auf einem Hügel mit spektakulären Blick auf die Berge und das Meer. Im Garten und auf der Terasse findet jeder seinen Traumplatz, ob in der Sonne, im Schatten, am Pool oder am Grill und von jeder Position genießt man den wunderschönen Ausblick. Der Infinity Pool ist ebenfalls traumhaft. Die Villa selbst ist gut und mit Stil ausgestattet, wir waren zu zweit und haben alles was wir brauchten vorgefunden. Ein Auto ist allerdings notwendig, die Lage zeichnet sich durch absolute Ruhe aus. Es schlängelt sich eine zum Schluss Schale Straße den Hügel hoch und wir waren dankbar, dass Davide mit uns zur Villa hochgefahren ist. Da sowohl Grill und Küchenausstattung komplett vorhanden ist, sind hier Selbstversorgergut untergebracht. Die nächsten Städte und Strände sind in ca 15-20 min erreicht. Ein rundum schöner Urlaub bei bestem Wetter von Anfang bis Mitte Juni"
