"The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay was excellent, the food was delicious, the staff is super nice and friendly! The cook in the taco stand (yellow van), went the extra miles by preparing my Mexico Doritos that I bought, super awesome service, our beach waiter (Marco) also did an excellent job, the last day he surprised us with a special drink made out of a grapefruit into a racoon, the drink inside was a Paloma so delicious! Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"We stayed at the Ventus Ha resort for 5 days and enjoyed our stay. The food was really good but did not have a buffet available on resort, you only had the option of al a carte. If you wanted a buffet setting you had to go to one of the sister properties. The room service was a great option and was really pretty quick, plus food stayed hot. The room was good too. The beds were firm and it stayed cool with AC, plus had a ceiling fan. We did have to change rooms 3 days into our stay because the tiles in the shower fell off the wall while the maids were cleaning. This was inconvenient since it was our 2nd to last day and we really wanted to just enjoy the pool and not have to pack up our room to switch rooms. There is a lot to see and enjoy on the other resorts. The Ventus Ha didn't have any entertainment on property or things to do around the pool. It was definitely the quiet pool but you could always get seats there compared to the other resorts. Our son was on crutches when we showed up and Gonzo and Enrique really helped us out with golf cart shuttle to the other resorts. Plus Gonzo was great at helping with anything that we needed like more water/beer in our room or extra questions that came up. This resort is a great laid back resort with not much activity if that's what you are looking for. Otherwise staying at one of the other properties would be a better option. Oh and you can't see the beach or ocean from this resort so if you are into that be aware."
Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
4/10 Poor
"This was by far the worst vacation we have ever taken. The staff was nice, but they were not equipped to deal with high volumes of guests. The check in process was awful. We could not check in at the main desk, they made Expedia members go down to an office practically off the grid to check in. Took so long we lost the afternoon to enjoy the pool. We also couldn’t get dinner reservations until the third night we were there. Had to eat buffet over and over and were told ‘sorry its busy’. Trying to fight for food at an all inclusive resort was disappointing, but when we finally did get into one of the restaurants, they were out of everything. The pool was also so full there were no chairs, had to wake up at 7am if you didn’t want to pay for cabanas. We were desperate so we finally booked one only to be told to move because they accidentally sold the cabana to someone else. In addition to all of this, our room flooded and nobody came to help for 2 hours and they ran out of most alcohol. Can’t believe we spent $6k for that, never want to book through Expedia again."
"Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful! Luis and Miguel were awesome bartenders! Nancy was an amazing server poolside. She was very attentive! "
Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"It was great and we really liked the property. The food was good and the staff was wonderful. There are 2 things that really took away from all the good things- 1) they charge you ridiculous prices to use he internet. If you have 5 devices it’s $50 per day and your resort fee doesn’t count toward this and the WiFi is terrible. Make it free like every resort this side of 2020. 2) the restaurants were great but the lines to eat at the buffet at peak were ridiculous. Way too long, sometimes 30-60 mins and that’s not good when you have hungry kids. Reservations at the restaurants were very hard to get. "
Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancún - All Inclusive
2/10 Terrible
"Waited several hours for toilet paper and it never arrived . We asked 5 differnat people and no one could help us. It rained yesterday and our whole
Building (4&2) was without power for several hours . Bldg 4 was out of power for about 4-5 hrs in the evening. My daughter 11 was ready for bed and could not due to no power. We sat in the entertainment area where everyone was getting wet because water was leaking through the roof. Most seats or wet and no one had really anywhere to go since they didn’t have any power. And still in the midst of all that they had entertainment on the stage that was drenched wet needless to say four different people fell because there was so much water. To top it all off. My daughter felt ill in the morning and began vomiting In the bathroom, which we had no toilet paper for . We were using tissue paper, I ran out the room to ask for some towels and toilet paper and cleaning lady began to tell me that she had no toilet paper and that she couldn’t give me any towels if my daughter was vomiting because they were going to charge before them and they were real expensive. I said I don’t care I will pay for the towels. I just need some towels because she’s vomiting all over the place. Needless to say I didn’t get any towels and I ended up using all of the Kleenex tissue we had and the bath towels that we had in the room. Beach was horrible !! Worst beach ever. It was nasty and there was not even enough room to walk. Won’t go back "
